Senior 1 students Chan Kuan Ieong, Chan Chou Him, and Cheng U Hin participated in the 2022 World Robotics Championship: National NeuroMaster AI Challenge from May 19 to 21.  Through rounds of coding, robots construction, strategic planning, and teamwork, our students demonstrated their knowledge and innovative abilities, winning the sixth place in the Senior High “City of the Future” Category of the National NeuroMaster AI Challenge and the second place in the Macao regional competition.  The instructors of the student contestants were Mr. Wu Hio Tong and Mr. Lei Chan Pong.

Pui Ching students participated in the 2023 Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair held in Dallas and came through with flying colors.

Our students comprised four of the six teams of contestants representing Macao in the competition and won the Fourth Award as well as two special awards.  Our award winners are as follows:

Other student works that had the opportunity to represent Macao in Regeneron ISEF 2023 included “Comprehelp: A Reading Comprehension Question Generation System Based on a Transformer” (Contestant: Chu Wai In; Mentors: Ho Wai Wai, Wu Chon Meng) and “Using Lotus (Nelumbo Nucifera) Infusions to Ameliorate Symptoms of Neurodegenerative Diseases” (Contestants: Ma Iok Kei, Cheong Sin Lon, Chan Ngai Long; Mentors: Leong Ieng Ieng, Io Hio Fai).  The competition has been a great learning opportunity for all student contestants.  Congratulations to our contestants for representing Macao and being the award winners in this year’s Regeneron ISEF!

The 1^st China’s Top Dancers Mentorship Program was launched in 2021.  Under the guidance of dance masters, talented young dancers will receive systematic training in the program to become top dancers in the country.

After the audition, members of the Pui Ching Secondary School Dance Team came through with flying colors.  Twelve members successfully entered the program in the 13 to 15 age category, and eight members entered the program in the 16 to 18 age category.  The students will be flying to Chongqing in late May to join the national training camp and the selection for the top 100 dancers in the country.  Congratulations to our young dancers!

The “FLTRP Cup” National English Competition for Schools is hosted by the Beijing Foreign Studies University and co-organized by the Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press.  It is the most influential and authoritative English competition for secondary school students in the country. Every year, the competition attracts student contestants from all over the country. 

After rounds of competition, including the regional preliminary competition, regional semi-finals, regional finals, and the national finals, our school’s three contestants all won the first prize in the national finals.  The award winners are as follows:
