Students win four First Prizes in Beijing International Adolescents Science Film Festival2021-04-19

The 10th Beijing International Film Festival and the 2nd Beijing International Adolescents Science Film Festival concluded yesterday. 247 films entered for consideration at the event, including entries from Beijing, Germany, the Czech Republic, Italy, Russia, Korea and the Macao S.A.R.. The films included 81 science documentaries, 61 science microfilms, and 70 science animations. Student contestants from Pui Ching won a total of 4 First Prizes, 11 Second Prizes, and 6 Third Prizes. Two of the entries also received the Spirit of Inquiry Award and the Best Performance Award respectively. Mr. Chan Kin Hong and Ms. Kou Weng Si both received the Excellent Instructor’s Award.
Students excel in Interschool Drama Competition2021-04-18

The 29th Interschool Drama Competition was held on April 17 and 18.
Senior 2 students Ng Hoi Tong and Pang Hoi Un directed the stage play “The Best Times”; performers included Fong Chi Weng (Junior 1D), Chio Hong Io (Junior 1F), Si Ian Wai (Junior 3B), Lei Tak In (Senior 1D), Pang Tin Hei (Senior 2B), Tong Io (Senior 2C), Loi Pek U (Senior 2C), and Chao Si In (Senior 3C). Senior 2B student Lam Chi U and Senior 2D student U Weng Ian directed the play “The Gift”; performers included Cheong Ieok Si (Junior 3A), Chao Ka Wang (Senior 1D), Ao Kam Kuan (Senior 2C), Leong U Hin (Senior 2E), and Ian Chi Hin (Senior 2E). Both plays received the merit award. Ms. Fong Sao Kun, Ms. Kuok Im Leng and Mr. Lao Chi Cheng were instructors for the stage plays. Ms. Fong Sao Kun and Ms. Kuok Im Leng won the Creative Script Award for “The Best Times” and “The Gift” respectively.
Five primary school students performed in the stage play “Planet X”, including Lam Teng Hun (Primary 3D), Kun Hoi Cheng (Primary 4A), Chan Ian Kio (Primary 4C), Chan Chon Nok (Primary 4D), and Cheong Cheok Hou (Primary 5E). Six students performed in “Listen up!”, including Lei Tek Sam (Primary 5C), Lei U Ieong (Primary 5D), Pun Wai Chong (Primary 5D), Ip Pui Kei (Primary 6A), Ian Si Cheng (Primary 6D), and Ieong Teng Nga (Primary 6E). Both plays won the merit award. Mr. Un Iat Hou, Ms. Tam Chong I, and Mr. Choi Iok U were the instructors for the stage plays.
Mr. Un Iat Hou won the Excellent Instructor’s Award for “Listen up!” Primary 5D student Lei U Ieong and Primary 5E student Cheong Cheok Hou both won the Excellent Performer’s Award.
Students excel in Interschool Judo Competition2021-04-17

The 22nd Interschool Judo Competition was held on April 17 and 18. Our student athletes won two golds, one silver, and nine bronzes. Award winners are as follows:

Pui Ching attends awards ceremony for National Security Education Exhibition and Writing Competition2021-04-15

The opening ceremony for the National Security Education Exhibition was held this morning. Teachers and students from the Pui Ching Choir sang the national anthem in the event. The “National Security and Me” Writing Competition was held on the same day. Senior 1A student Cheong Cheng Peng won the first prize in the Senior High Category. Chief Executive Mr. Ho Iat Seng of Macao presented the award to Mr. Cheong. Junior 3A student Cheong Ieok Si won the second prize in the Junior High Category. Mr. Cheong Cheng Peng was interviewed today by CCTV, TDM, and other media and talked about the younger generation’s view on national security.
Pui Ching becomes sister schools with three schools in Guangdong2021-04-15

Pui Ching principal Kou Kam Fai attended a sister school contract signing ceremony today with Guangzhou No. 2 Middle School and Guangzhou Qixing Primary School respectively.
In the afternoon, Principal Kou signed the contract and became sister schools with Daliang Experimental Primary School in Foshan. It is hoped that cooperation between Pui Ching and its sister schools can facilitate exchange of ideas between the students.
