Students come through with flying colors at Innovation and Invention Expo2016-07-10

The 2016 Macau International Innovation and Invention Exposition took place at the Macau Science Center from July 8th to 10th. Participants came together from various regions and countries, creating an invaluable opportunity for education and cultural exchange.
Our students came through with flying colors and won 5 Gold Awards and 7 Silver Awards. Congratulations also to Grade 6 student Ms. Ut I Si-Tou who received the Special Invention Award from the Hong Kong Invention Association.
Pui Ching wins Gold Award in International Outstanding E-Learning Awards Scheme2016-07-02

Pui Ching participated in the International Outstanding E-Learning Awards Scheme hosted by the University of Hong Kong E-Learning Development Laboratory and won the Gold Award, the only highest award in the international category (which covers both schools in the mainland and overseas schools). Pui Ching vice-principal Mr. Keng Man Kuok was also invited to share the outcomes of e-learning at the event.
The winner of the Gold Award in the university category was the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
Students clinch gold and silver at Fashion Design Competition2016-06-24

The 7th Macao Fashion Design Competition hosted by the Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Centre saw award winners from various grade levels.
Senior 1 student Mr. Hon Sam Lou won the Gold Award. Junior 3 student Ms. Kei Ian Ung won the Silver Award. Senior 2 student Ms. Nga Weng Chan and Junior 2 student Ms. Weng Sam Lou each received the Merit Award.
6th Grader receives Merit Award at Pittsburgh Invention Expo2016-06-11

The 31st Invention & New Product Exposition (INPEX) was held in Pittsburg from June 7th to 9th. Grade 6 student Ms. Julia Cheung received the Merit Award in the domestic category. In the same year, Pui Ching Middle School received the Innovative School Award.
Pui Ching 6th grader Ms. Julia Cheung invented the Smart Window under the guidance of her teachers Ms. Sio Teng Chan and Ms. Chi Kuan Leong and received the Merit Award in the domestic category. Ms. Cheung was the first Macau primary school student to receive this award.
Able to automatically close or open as a function of changes in precipitation, the Smart Window is designed to cope with unpredictable weather. It prevents furniture and wooden flooring from getting wet in rainy weather and keeps the indoors well ventilated in dry weather.
English Language Teaching Conference2016-06-11

Principal Kou was invited to the opening ceremony of the 2016 English Language Teaching Conference hosted by the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the University of Macau. Mr Sebastien Chan and Ms Sandra U also gave a research-based presentation on the topic "The Effectiveness of E-learning in Vocabulary Teaching".
