The Pui Ching Botball Team participated in the Botball Educational Robotics Program (2021 Botball Asia) in Hangzhou on May 30.  Our student contestants exercised their creativity and imagination and rose up to one challenge after another.  Award-winners are as follows:

Upon invitation by the University of Macao, Pui Ching Middle School participated in the 2020/2021 International Collegiate Programming Contest on May 29 (https://www.cis.um.edu.mo/icpc2021).  Two teams of secondary school students from Pui Ching contended in the Outstanding High School Teams Category.  T-One (including Ip Chon Hou, Ngan Chon Wai, and Wong Tin Iao) won the first place, the highest award in the category.  T-Two (including Leong Nga Chi, Lou Weng Ka, and Chan Cheng Leong) won the seventh place.

Pui Ching students participated in the Interschool Soft Volleyball Competition.  Our Men’s Team A consisted of Si Tou Pui Lam, Io Sio Long, Mak Ka Him, Cheok Chi Hin, Cheng Hou Ieong, and Wong Cheng Hin and won the championship for the academic year.  In the Men’s Category C competition, Lao Hou Ioi, Mak Chi Chon, Chan Seong Ieong, Chan Lok Kei, Un Chon Hang, and Leong Chon Meng also won the championship.  Our Men’s Team B, including Lit Pak Him, Lei Hao Lai, Leong Seong Kei, Leong Seong Lon, U Wai Teng, and Un Chi Fong, lost to our own Team A and won the second place.

Our Women’s Team A, including Lam Si Cheng, Lam Iek Ian, Wong Tin Sam, Lei Ioi Kei and Leong Kam Ian, won the second place.

Under the guidance of Dr. Min Hao Nian and Mr. Ieong Kuan, the Pui Ching VEX Team participated in the VEX Robotics World Championship from May 19 to 24.  Students representing Pui Ching included members of the VRC Junior Team 5868D (Ieong Hoi Him, Lei Chi Hou, Lei Chan Weng, Mak Hio Wang) and members of the AI Team 5868X (Tang I Choi, Chan Hou Fai, Lei Cheng U, Lai Hou Hin, Hong Wang Lok, Tang Keng Hang, Wong Chi Pang, Lou U Cheng). 

Our Junior Team D won the twelfth place and entered the rematch after eight rounds of intense competition.  Through effective teamwork and outstanding presentation skills, the team went on to win the Excellence Award, the highest award in the middle school and high school category respectively.  Our AI Team did not win any awards in the competition, but it looks forward to using the experience this time to improve its performance in future competitions.
