The Beauty of the Lotus Children’s Dance Performance is the most influential national children’s dance performance to-date.  Held once every two years, the performance this year gathered over 500 groups of dancers from Hong Kong, Macao, and all over the country.  195 groups of dancers entered the final competition.  The finalists gathered in Guangzhou for the final competition, and after six rounds of competition in front of 11 judges, the Pui Ching Primary School Dance Team won the highest award, Star of the Lotus; and the Pui Ching Secondary School Dance Team also won the highest award, Home of the Lotus, in their own category, and was the only team from Hong Kong and Macao to win this honor.

The Pui Ching Secondary School Choir attended the Taipei International Choir Competition.  After two days of intense competition, the choir won the Silver Award in both the Youth Category and the Contemporary Music Category.  This has been the first time the Pui Ching Secondary School Choir entered for an international choir competition.  Congratulations to our singers!

Junior high students Mr. Leong Chi Kio and Mr. Ng Chan In attended the 2^nd Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Youth Innovative Entrepreneurship Competition in Beijing today, which was hosted by Tsinghua University and the China Higher Education Innovative Entrepreneurship Education League.  Mr. Leong and Mr. Ng won the highest award, the Distinction Award, and the Most Popular Innovation Award with their Smart Ball Check-in and Check-out Machine.  Primary school students Ms. Gong Si Nga and Mr. Tam Fai Ip won the Third Prize and the Most Creative Innovation Award with their Air Quality Monitor Drone.  Mr. Wu Lok Hin and Mr. Leong Ka Hou also won the Third Prize with their Scavenger on the Lake.

The 10^th Macao Fashion Design Drawing Competition hosted by the Macao Productivity and Technology Transfer Center was held on July 19^th.  Pui Ching students won various awards: Ms. Tai Ian Lam won the Gold Award; Ms. Ng Kei Ian won the Bronze Award; and Ms. Yu Di, Ms. Wu Hoi Lam, and Ms. Ma Iao Teng won the Merit Award.  The picture on the right shows Ms. Tai Ian Lam’s work, New Look of the Special Administrative Region, which won the Gold Award.
