In the awards ceremony for the 2019 Macao Regional Geography cum Earth Science Olympiad, Pui Ching students won the following awards:

In Geography: 4 Golds, 3 Silvers, 1 Bronze, Group Championship

In Earth Science: 1 Gold, 4 Silvers, 2 Bronzes, Group Merit

The results were announced in late April and students were presented with their awards today. Congratulations to our award winners!

Pui Ching students Lei Hei I, Fong Su, Fung Chon Hei, Hoi Hoi Ian, and Leong Weng I attended the International Science and Engineering Fair as representatives of Macao.  The tournament is known as a cradle for Nobel Prize winners and gathered about 1850 high school students from 80 countries.  Pui Ching students Lei Hei I and Fong Su won the Third Prize with their Avinocular: An Autonomous Mobile Robot for Aircraft Inspection.  Fung Chon Hei, Hoi Hoi Ian, and Leong Weng I won the Outstanding Achievement Award for Ability and Creativity in Science and Engineering Project with their Automated Microfluidic Platform for Food Safety and Human Allergy Analysis.  Many congratulations to our award-winners!

Pui Ching outplayed Our Lady of Fatima Girls’ School by 59:29 in Category B of the Interschool Women’s Basketball Competition and won the championship. 

The Pui Ching Basketball Team has won a total of 4 championships in this year’s Interschool Basketball Competition, in Men’s Category B, Women’s Category B, Women’s Category C, and Women’s Category D.  Pui Ching came in as the second runner-up in the Women’s Category A Competition, and it will be playing Yuet Wah College for the bronze medal in Men’s Category C on May 16^th at 6:30pm at the stadium of Escola Luso-Chinesa Técnico-Profissional.

In the 19^th International Scientific Conference for Students held by the Advanced Education and Science Center of Moscow State University, Senior 2B students Mr. Ho Kit San and Mr. Wong U Long, Senior 2C student Kong In Wa, and Senior 1B student Mr. Leong Ka Hin reported on “The best hospital” and won the Diploma 1 Degree, the highest honor at the conference.  Senior 2A student Mr. Ng Ka Chon, Senior 2D student Mr. Tao Chong, and Senior 1B student Mr. Lai Chak Ian reported on “Resource allocation for electric vehicle charging stations” and won the Diploma II Degree, the second highest honor at the conference. 

Students from Hong Kong Pui Ching Middle School also attended the conference.  The conference gave students the invaluable opportunity to experience the culture of Moscow and exchange ideas with local students.
