Students receive 5 Golds, 7 Silvers, 4 Bronzes in International Biomedical Quiz2019-02-20

The 2019 International Biomedical Quiz was held in Singapore today. Students from Pui Ching won 5 Golds, 7 Silvers and 4 Bronzes:

The theme of the competition this year was Ophthalmology, which concerns the physiological structure of the eye and the cause and treatment of eye disorders. The subject was challenging for secondary school students, but the contestants worked hard and excelled nonetheless. Their instructors were Ms. U Weng Ian, Mr. U Kin Pong, and Ms. Io Hio Fai.
Students clinch three championships in Inter-School Badminton Singles Competition2019-02-17

Pui Ching students won various awards in different categories in the Inter-School Badminton Singles Competition yesterday:
Champion in Men’s Category D: Ho Cheng Wai (P5C)
Champion in Women’s Category D: Wong Lei Ian (P6A)
Champion in Women’s Category E: Ng Cheok Ian (P3E)
First Runner-up in Men’s Category C: Che Io Hong (S2E)
Third Runner-up in Men’s Category B: Wong Son Him (S3B)
Third Runner-up in Women’s Category E: Ho Ian Kio (P3E)
Students win Gold and Silver in Thailand Inventor’s Exposition2019-02-06

The Thailand Inventor’s Exposition was held in Bangkok from February 2nd to 6th. Three teams involving a total of 7 students attended the event, making Pui Ching the school with the greatest number of contestant teams among all schools. A total of 26 countries and regions attended the exposition. Student contestants from Pui Ching won 1 Gold, 2 Silvers, the Philippines Outstanding Invention Award, and 12 Special Recommendation Awards.
Ms. Leong Weng I and Mr. Un Hoi Man invented the Portable Tester of Immunity to Allergensunder the guidance of their instructors Ms. Io Hio Fai and Ms. Leong Ieng Ieng and won the Gold Award and the Special Recommendation Award from Canada, India, Indonesia and Taiwan.
Mr. Wu Kuan Choi, Mr. Chan Man Hei, and Ms. Wong Hoi Ian invented the Tea-Extracted Oxygen Reduction Catalyst as Applied to Zinc-Air Fuel Cells under the guidance of their instructor Mr. Chan Ka Kong and won the Silver Award, the Philippines Outstanding Invention Award, and the Special Recommendation Award from China, the U.K., Malaysia, Sudan, and Taiwan.
Ms. Kong Sin U and Mr. Xiang Yi Fan studied the development and application of Dual-Function MOF Derivative Catalyst to Zinc-Air Fuel Cells under the guidance of Mr. Chan Ka Kong and won the Silver Award and the Special Recommendation Award from India, the Philippines and Taiwan.
Pui Ching wins greatest number of medals in Inter-school Swimming Competition 2019-01-26

The 42nd Inter-school Swimming Competition was held in the Macao Olympic Swimming Stadium on January 19th and 26th. 105 student contestants from Pui Ching won a total of 61 medals, including 25 golds, 18 silvers, and 18 bronzes, making Pui Ching the school with the greatest number of student contestants and award winners this year. Among the award winners, the Women’s 4x50 Mixed Relay Team broke the record in Category C. 16 Pui Ching students won the gold medal this year, incluing:
Ng Chi Lek, Cheang Weng Chi, Kuok Hei Cheng, Lao Meng Chak, Lei Hon Ian, Lam Chi Fong, Lam Iao Hin, Ieong Sao Wai,Lei I Chi, Tam Hio I, Wong Hoi Tong, Lam Ka Hang, Ao Ieong U Hou, Jeffrey Cheung, Ng Chi Hin, U Cheng Hou.
Students win First, Second, Third Place in Kam Chun Award Short Film Competition2019-01-24

Pui Ching students attended the 2018 Kam Chun Award Short Film Competition held by the Macao Film Art Research Institute of the Macao University of Science and Technology. The competition aims to give youths a stage to showcase their talents in new media productions. The theme this year is “Beautiful Macao“ and participating works can be either a story or documentary. Pui Ching students won many awards, including the First, Second and Third Place in the competition.
