Primary student wins grand championship in Mandarin Category of GBA-HK-Macau Speech and Story Telling Competition2023-07-16

The 1st GBA-HK-Macau “Kids’ Voice Cup” Speech and Story Telling Competition was held on July 8 at the Hong Kong C. C. C. Kei Chi Secondary School.  Pui Ching students came through with flying colors.  Primary 5D student Chao Mut Ham won the grand championship in the Primary School Mandarin Category (Instructor: Si Hong Peng).  Other award winners are as follows:

Student contestants win world championship in RoboCup 2023 2023-07-15

RoboCup is an international annual competition for autonomous domestic service robots and was held from July 5 to 10 this year in Bordeaux, France.  Two student teams from Macao Pui Ching Middle School successfully qualified for the RoboCup@Home Education Challenge.

 

RoboCup is the largest robots and AI competition in the world.  The event this year attracted over 15,000 contestants, including 2,500 college and secondary school students from 45 countries.  Both teams from our school came through with flying colors:

Pui Ching Underwater Robotics Team ranks 6th among high-school RANGER class in MATE ROV World Championship2023-07-14

The Pui Ching Underwater Robotics Team participated in the 2023 MATE ROV World Championship held in Longmont, Colorado from June 19 to July 1. 

 

In the face of intense competition with 31 of the world’s top robotics teams, our underwater robotics team demonstrated outstanding skills and teamwork, eventually ranking 6th among the high-school RANGER class in the world championship!  Congratulations to our award winners!

 

Members of the Pui Ching Underwater Robotics Team include Lao Ioi, Hon Pok Man, Man Ka Weng, Lei Wang Hei, Kuok I Hang, Chi Fong, Chao Seong Lai, Lam Lok Hei, Wong Hou Ieong, Lei Si Wai, Lao Chit, Hon Chi San, Tam Fai Ip, and Kong Si Nga.

 

Their instructors are Mr. Lao Kun Wa and Mr. Lou Weng Keong.

 

Men’s Basketball Team wins championship in Inter-School Basketball Finals2023-06-20

The Pui Ching Men’s Basketball Team outplayed Keang Peng School by 60-54 in the Group B Men’s Basketball Finals on June 19, winning the championship.

The success would not have been possible without the hard work of every member of the Men’s Basketball Team.  Many thanks to the Pui Ching community who continuously cheered for our team.  Your support has been the reason why we have been putting in the work that we do and will continue to be the reason we strive to be the best we can be.

 

Student champions in Office Skills Competition advance to MOS World Championship on behalf of Macao2023-06-17

The 15th Office Skills Competition for Macau Students held its awards ceremony on June 16.  Pui Ching student Lam Iok Cheong won the championship in the Excel Category and Lei In Iat won the third place in the same category.  Kuok Chi Ioi and Ng Cheok Wai respectively won the championship in the PowerPoint Category in the 2019 and 2016 competition.

Our three champions have been invited to the 2023 Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) World Championship to be held from late July to early August in the United States, where they will be representing Macao and competing with players from different countries and regions.
