Pui Ching students receive Bronze Medal and Honorable Mention at IOI 20242024-09-13
The 36th International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI 2024) was held from September 1 to September 8 in Alexandria, Egypt. Senior 2 students, Ng Hang Chi, Wong Chi In, and Lam Pak Hong, participated in the Macao Olympiad in Informatics (MOI 2024) earlier this year, where they achieved the top three scores and became representatives of Macao for the 2024 International Olympiad in Informatics. They visited Egypt with their instructor from the Macao Computer Society and our teachers, Ms. Lam Sao Lan and Mr. Lam Kin Un. Our students excelled in the competition, receiving one Bronze Medal and one Honorable Mention. Congratulations to our award winners!
Student clinches gold in International Earth Science Olympiad2024-09-07
Senior 2 student Cheong U Hin represented Macao at the 2024 International Earth Science Olympiad (IESO) held in Beijing and won a gold medal.
The International Earth Science Olympiad is an international competition for high school students worldwide. It covers various fields, including geology, meteorology, oceanography, and astronomy. It assesses participants' knowledge and practical skills in earth science through theoretical exams, field research, and teamwork.
U Hin expressed gratitude for the school's support and the guidance from his teachers. He feels very proud to be a representative of Macao at the international event.
Pui Ching students win first and second place in Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship2024-08-02
Representatives from Macao participated in the Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship held in Anaheim, California. Contestants had 100 minutes to complete challenging tasks that assessed their technical skills and creative abilities.
Two of our student representatives excelled in the following categories:
- MOS PowerPoint 365 World Championship: Lam Iok Cheong (Champion)
- MOS Word 365 World Championship: Fong Ka Seong (First runner-up)

Primary School Choir sings in three languages in Children's Choral Music Week2024-07-24
From July 19th to 23rd, 29 students from our primary school choir participated in the "2024 Panda Sound Chengdu (International) Children's Choral Music Week" event held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, where they performed alongside outstanding children's choirs from France, New Zealand, South Korea, Chongqing, and Chengdu.
Our primary school choir performed three children's choral pieces in different languages and styles: Fireflies, ¡Viva la Música!, and The Song of Seven Sons. The event gave our young musicians the opportunity to engage in artistic exchange with children’s choirs from different parts of the world and proved to be a great learning experience.

Macao-Gansu Fraternal Society and Lanzhou University Alumni Association donate coin collection to Pui Ching2024-07-12
The Macao-Gansu Fraternal Society and the Lanzhou University Zhuhai-Macao Alumni Association donated a set of ancient coins from various Chinese dynasties to the Chinese Culture House of Macao Pui Ching Middle School. The coins cover a history of approximately four thousand years, from ancient times to the last century.
Principal Kou Kam Fai extended his gratitude to the alumni association and fraternal society for the donation. He expressed that the collection was an important educational tool that promotes Chinese culture. The ancient coins tell numerous stories about our history and heritage, providing valuable insights into the economic systems, cultural practices, and artistic traditions of our ancestors.
