The Pui Ching History-Geography Association celebrates its 26^th anniversary and held its 27^th inauguration ceremony.  Association Counselor Mr. Wong Hon Kin (also trustee of the school), Mr. Yiu U Cheong, Mr. Choi Ka Wing, Mr. Ip Kam Tim, Mr. Chan Wing Cheong, Vice-Prinicpal Kuok Keng Man, Vice-Principal Chan Keng Lim, and teachers and students of Keang Peng Secondary School and Hou Kong Secondary School all attended the ceremony.  The guests viewed posters and publications from the association as well as Lego constructions of Macao’s historical architecture from parents of the students.

April 23^rd is the World Book and Copyright Day.  Each year, the Pui Ching Library holds different celebrations to promote reading.  Principal Kou Kam Fai, Vice-Principal Kuok Keng Man, Vice-Principal Chan Keng Lim, Director Leong Veng Tong, Director Ieong Pui Ian, Director Chan Chi Seng, and student representatives participated in the Library Week Opening Ceremony.  Students recited poems as part of the opening ceremony. 

The Library Week consists of seven events, one of which was “The autobiography series: The man with a story” brought to us by Moral Education Director Mr. Leong Veng Tong, who shared with teachers and students his memories in Pui Ching in the last 40 years, the school’s history, and the founding principles of Pui Ching.  Other events included The China Studies Forum, Theatre Game Show, “Think Before You Share” Tongue Twister Game Booths, 423E Reading, The Book Giveaway Contest, and The Anhui Cultural Exchange Report Display, which is placed on the ground floor of Block H from April 16^th to 28^th.  

Pui Ching Middle School and the Macao Pui Ching Alumni Association held the Chinese New Year celebration at the Assembly Hall this evening.  Participants in the event included the teaching staff, former graduates of Pui Ching, representatives of the Parent-Teacher Association and the family of all.  President Wong Hon Kin of the Alumni Association, Vice-Principal Chan Keng Lim, and President Chiang Kuok Hong of the Teaching Staff Association extended their new year’s greetings and good wishes to all.

The 2018 Portugal Happy Spring Festival Gala was held on February 16 in Póvoa de Varzim.  The performance of the student artists received the acclaim of the general audience.

Ambassador Cai Run extended his gratitude to all performing groups, especially the Pui Ching Dance Team, whose secondary and primary school students gave up the opportunity to spend time with their family during Chinese New Year to bring everyone a heartfelt performance thousands of miles away from home.
