Pui Ching teachers, students, parents, student flag bearers and the school wind orchestra participated in the Walk for a Million. Vice Chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Mr. Ho Hau Wah, Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in Macau Mr. Zheng Xiao Song, and Commissioner of the Department of State Commissioner’s Office in Macau Mr. Ye Da Bo cheered the participants on during the march.

Students clinch championship in Inter-School Volleyball Competition2017-12-07

Pui Ching Middle School and Colegio de Santa Rosa de Lima played for the championship today in the Inter-School Women’s Category C Volleyball Competition.  Pui Ching won two games in succession and clinched the championship.

Walk for a Million2017-12-05

Pui Ching teachers, students and parents raised MOP$ 316,322.60 (HK$ 10,235.00) during the Walk for a Million event. Vice-principal Mr. Kuok Keng Man, Vice-principal Dr. Chan Keng Lim, Director Leong Wing Tong, Director Ieong Pui Ian, Director Chan Chi Sing, Principal’s Assistant Ms. Wong Kin, Deputy director of the Parent-Teacher Association Ms. Chan Wing Ian, and President of the Student Association Ms. Ieong Sin U made the donation to the Macao Daily Reader’s Charity Foundation.

Lou Hon Sam Exhibition opens today2017-11-28

Phase One: Awakening (The Lou Hon Sam Exhibition) held by the Youth Art Exhibition House under the Macau Education and Youth Affairs Bureau was opened today.  Vice-principals Mr. Kuok Keng Man and Dr. Chan Keng Lim as well as professionals in the Macao fine arts circles attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

 

The exhibition showcased mixed-media works and photographs from Senior 3 student Mr. Lou Hon Sam.  “Phase One” refers to the early stages of Mr. Lou’s life, and “Awaking” refers to how he found his direction in life after the age of 15.  Mr. Lou experimented with various ideas in the current exhibition and sees Awakening as a milestone in his journey of creation

 

The Lou Hon Sam Exhibition is open from 12:00pm to 8:00pm at the Youth Art Exhibition House at Tap Seac Square till December 10th.  It is closed on Mondays.

Lam Sio Hong Photography Exhibition opens2017-11-21

The Lam Sio Hong Photography Exhibition: Southwest America opened today at 6:30pm at the Handover Gifts Museum of Macau.   The exhibition was hosted by the Macau Photography Association and sponsored by the Cultural Bureau.  Principal Dr. Kam Fai Kou and president of the Pui Ching Alumni Association Mr. Mok Chi Wai were officiating guests at the event.

 

Mr. Lam Sio Hong was a graduate of Pui Ching.  He continued his education in Taiwan and the United States after graduating from Pui Ching in 1980.  He has lived in the United States for 30 years and is currently the principal software engineer of a telecommunications company.  He traveled different areas of Southwest America during his studies in the United States, including the Rocky Mountains, various deserts and the Pacific coastline.  During his travel, he recorded nature and the local culture with his camera.  The theme of the current exhibition is Touring Southwest America: Culture, Mountains and Waters, Deserts, the Coastlines.  The photographer shared his travel experience and inner world with the audience through his camera and talked about his works at the opening ceremony.  He also donated some of his works on display to Pui Ching as well as charity organizations and academic institutions in Macau.

 

The Lam Sio Hong Photography Exhibition is held at the Handover Gifts Museum of Macau and Mr. Lam’s works will be on display from 10:00am to 7:00pm from November 22 to December 10.  The museum is closed on Mondays.
