Alumnus holds photography exhibition at Pui Ching2017-09-11

Pui Ching graduate Mr. Wang Tou Kun is currently a student of the University of Massachusetts, majoring in digital media and minoring in photography.  An avid travel photographer, Mr. Kun held a photography exhibition from August 11 to 23 at the Marriott Gallery and received critical acclaim.  Vice-principal Mr. Keng Man Kuok also had the pleasure of enjoying his work at the exhibition.  A demonstration of his keen perception of life, Mr. Kun’s artworks serve as exemplary learning materials for aspiring youth artists.  His works will be on display at Pui Ching in front of Block H until noon, September 15th.  Photography albums are available for pick-up.  All are welcome.

Students excel at Beginner’s Fencing Competition 2017-09-10

The 2017 Macao Beginner’s Fencing Competition concluded today.  Intensive training during the summer paid off for Pui Ching’s contestants.  Award winners are as follows.

 

In the Boys’ Category:

Champion: Huang, Teng Ieong (Secondary 1)

First runner-up: Huang, Teng Wa (Primary 6)

Second runner-up: Che, Chon Kit (Primary 6)

Second runner-up: Yong, William (Primary 6)

 

In the Girls’ Category:

First runner-up: Ip, Chin Lam (Primary 5)

Second runner-up: Chiu, Hoi Cheng (Secondary 1)

 

In the Men’s Junior Category:

Champion: She, Cho Cheng (Secondary 4)

Second runner-up: Lou, Chi Hong (Secondary 2)

Second runner-up: Kam, Chon Fai (Secondary 2)

 

In the Men’s Youth Category:

Champion: Zhou, Chi Hin (Secondary 5)

Second runner-up: Wu, Jian Hong (Secondary 6)

 

Vice-principal Keng Man Kuok elected as director in China Photographers’ Association2017-09-03

The 9th National Congress for the China Photographers’ Association was held in Beijing.  Vice-principal Keng Man Kuok was appointed as the representative of the Macao delegation and elected as the new director.

Primary school dance team wins applause in Inner Mongolia2017-08-02

Under the supervision of teachers, parents and vice-principal Mr. Keng Man Kuok, 30 members of the primary school dance team attended the 3rd Prairie Children’s Ethnic Dancing Festival on July 26th and August 2nd.  Other contestants included hundreds of students from dance academies in Guangxi and Inner Mongolia.  The Pui Ching Dance Team won two Golden Eagle Awards (the highest award) with its Flying Pony and Time.  It also won the Stallion Award with its Portuguese Style.  The team’s performances received critical acclaim at the gala.  

Pui Ching String Orchestra puts on performance at School Band Music Festival2017-07-16

The 3rd Mainland, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao School Band Music Festival was held in Hong Kong on July 14 and 15.  The Pui Ching String Orchestra participated in the music festival with various school bands from Hong Kong, Guangzhou and Taiwan and put on a joint performance with fellow schools.  The young artists’ mesmerizing music won them thunderous applause.

 

The first day of the music festival was devoted to the participating schools’ respective renditions.  The Pui Ching String Orchestra played Handel-Halvorsen Passacaglia.  Senior 1 student Ms. Pui In Ip conducted the orchestra.

 

On the second day of the music festival was the Inter-School Productions Concert, which featured

Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 2 in B-flat major and Act II of Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker.

 

Both concerts had the pleasure of the company of Pui Ching principal Dr. Kam Fai Kou and vice-principal Mr. Keng Man Kuok.
