Students visited the 150th Anniversary of the Birth of Dr. Sun Yat-sen Photo Exhibition hosted by the Macao S.A.R. government under the supervision of their teachers.  Through this field trip, student participants deepened their understanding of history, their country and region.  The chief executive of Macao took a group photo with everyone at the event.

Pui Ching receives Exemplary School in Energy Conservation Award.2016-10-18

The 2016 School Energy Conservation Campaign hosted by the Office for the Development of the Energy Sector (GDSE) held its awards ceremony yesterday.  Pui Ching again received the Exemplary School in Energy Conservation Award (the highest award), the Energy Conservation Gold Award in the Secondary School Comprehensive Awards Category, and the Energy Conservation Silver Award in the Primary School Comprehensive Awards Category.

 

Pui Ching teachers Mr. Sai Kit Sam, Mr. Si Chon Lao and Mr. Chi Tong Si received the Energy Conservation Lessons and Activities Award in the Secondary School Category.  22 students working under the guidance of their teachers Mr. Sai Kit Sam and Mr. Kuok Chin Un received the Scientific Literacy Activities Award for their “Spin out the Future” program.  Pui Ching students Mr. Hou Cheng Wong and Mr. Tin Long Pang won the Effective Reminders of Energy Conservation Award in the Primary School Category.

Pui Ching Choir Team and Dance Team participate in 2016 Guangzhou-Hong Kong-Macau Youth Cultural Festival2016-10-15

Upon invitation by the Macau-Guangzhou Friendship Association, 46 teachers and students from the Pui Ching Choir Team and Dance Team participated in the 2016 Guangzhou-Hong Kong-Macau Youth Cultural Festival held in Guangzhou on October 15. The event was co-hosted by various organizations including the Guangzhou Ministry of Education and held in the Pan Yu Conference Center. Hundreds of students from 10 schools in various regions came together in singing competitions as well as artistic performances. Pui Ching’s Choir Team clinched the Silver Award with their renditions of “The Age-old Song” and “Can You Hear Me”, and the Dance Team received the Performance Award with its presentation of “Vines, Branches and Leaves”

Academic exchange with Sacred Heart Canossian College2016-10-15

22 teachers and students from Sacred Heart Canossian College visited Pui Ching this morning and engaged in academic exchange with Pui Ching’s Senior 3 students from the English Advanced Placement Class. The theme for the event was “A new page in life: Opportunities and challenges”, and students exchanged ideas on life planning and career planning. This was the first time the two schools have come together in English-medium learning activities. Pui Ching will pay a visit to SHCC in November and engage in further language learning exchange.

Student athletes showcase their talent at annual sports meet2016-10-07

The 46th Pui Ching Track and Field Sports Meet was held for three days in the Macau Stadium and concluded at 3:30pm on October 7th

 

Among the guests of honor at the closing ceremony were: honorary trustees of the school board, trustees of the school board, vice-presidents of Pui Ching Alumni Association, deputy director of Pui Ching Sports Association, and technical counselors for the Sports Meet.  The guests of honor presented medals, trophies, and silk banners to the award winners at the athletic contests, and Pui Ching principal Dr. Kam Fai Kou addressed the audience at the closing ceremony.

 

As part of the tradition, the 800-meter student-teacher Happy Run took place on the second day.  The student-teacher friendly relay match before the closing ceremony was also a highlight of the Sports Meet. 

 

6 student athletes broke 5 records at this year’s Sports Meet.  Senior 2 student Mr. Ka Hei Chan cleared a height of 1.86 meters in the men’s high jump category and broke the record set by school director Mr. Veng Tong Leong 34 years ago.  At the closing ceremony, Principal Kou encouraged students to check out the 12th Five-Year Plan Technology and Innovation Exhibition over the holidays, which displays high-end technology products from the P.R.C..  Principal Kou also extended his gratitude to students, teachers and the entire Pui Ching staff for making the Sports Meet possible and to the guests, parents and alumni for their support.
