Three high school students from our school, Ng Man Fong, Kuok Chi Ioi, and Kuong Hon Chon, set out on the evening of December 6th for Dubai for the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28).
Through participation in the conference, our students gained an understanding of the positions of various countries on climate change and our country's efforts in addressing the issue. Students also developed a deeper understanding of the solutions to climate change.
During the conference, our three students presented the initial draft of their collection of works titled "My Zero-Carbon Citizen Initiative" to Mr. Xie Zhenhua, China's Special Envoy for Climate Affairs. They also engaged in discussions with the Minister of Energy of the United Arab Emirates, sharing their life as students in Macao and their thoughts on sustainable development.

Inspiring Insights: A Career Talk on Veterinary Medicine by Dr. Alexandra Ascenso2023-11-22

To prepare senior secondary students for their future studies and careers, the English Panel arranged a career talk on Veterinary Medicine early this scholastic year.
Dr. Alexandra Ascenso, a licensed and experienced veterinarian in Macau, was invited to give a talk to our S5 and S6 students at our school hall on the morning of October 24th, 2023. During the talk, the guest speaker shared not only practical and useful pointers on the field of veterinary education but also her own hands-on experience as a veterinarian and co-founder of a veterinary clinic.
We express our sincere gratitude to Dr. Ascenso and her "assistant" – Cereja – for delivering such an informative and rewarding speech about the veterinary industry.
