Pui Ching Middle School has been nominated for the second prize in the 2022 National Teaching Achievement Award Competition for Basic Education. The award is highly prestigious.  Pui Ching's entry was "The Application of AI Curricula in Macau Schools: Implementing National Policies in Support of the Development of the Greater Bay Area".

The Chinese Ministry of Education announced the nominees for the esteemed award, and Pui Ching Middle School has been the only institution in the Macau Special Administrative Region to receive the award since the competition was opened to contestants in Hong Kong and Macau in 2018. During the award ceremony, President Xi Jinping commended Macau’s education industry on its outstanding achievements. 

Pui Ching Middle School is dedicated to excellence and innovation in research and teaching. The Teaching Achievement Award Competition offered a platform for Pui Ching to share its experience in AI curriculum development and the cultivation of talents.  It is hoped that through innovation in education, we would provide our students with a broader platform on which to develop their strengths and contribute to society.

The Education and Youth Development Bureau held an awards ceremony on May 12 for the conferment of the Outstanding Teacher's Award for the 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 academic year.

Four teachers from Pui Ching won the award:

2020-2021: Chao Wai Sam, Un Kuok Chin

2021-2022: Fong Sao Kun, Wong Wai I

Congratulations to our teachers!

The founding ceremony for the Primary 5 student society was held this afternoon.  As president of the student society, Primary 5 student Chan Chi Cheng gave the opening speech, followed by speeches from Principal Kou Kam Fai and Mr. Wong Hon Kin, board member of Pui Ching Middle School and president of the Macao Pui Ching Alumni Association.  95 teachers and students from Hong Kong Pui Ching Primary School joined the parents in witnessing the ceremony. 

Following the founding ceremony, the students put on a musical for the audience.  “Running in the Glowing Sunlight” conveyed the students’ gratitude, hopes, aspirations, and faith.  The audience also enjoyed the student-made music video “Dreaming of Flying”, which reminds us that we have the support and comfort of our loved ones as we navigate through life’s ups and downs.  The student productions received great feedback from both guests and teachers, bringing the ceremony to a heartwarming finish that left everyone feeling joyful and uplifted.

To enhance student understanding of the spirit and history of the May 4^th Movement, the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau held the Macau Student May 4^th Flag-Raising Ceremony this morning at the Macau Polytechnic University.  The Pui Ching Secondary School Choir was invited to participate and sing the national anthem in the ceremony. The flag-raising ceremony served as a poignant reminder of the enduring legacy of the May 4^th Movement.  It is also intended that the event would foster a sense of national pride among young people.
