Pui Ching provides assistance to Zheng'an County No. 8 Senior High School of Guizhou 2022-06-14

The Zheng'an Guitar Museum officially opened on June 14 in the Hengqin Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone.  In the opening ceremony of the Museum, the Guizhou Zheng'an Economic Development Zone Management Committee presented guitars to three middle schools in Macau, including Pui Ching Middle School.  Vice-Principal Kuok Keng Man, Deputy Director Lok Kim Fong, and Senior 1 student Ng In Fu were invited to the ceremony. 

Pui Ching Middle School subsequently committed to providing assistance to Zheng'an County No. 8 Senior High School of Guizhou in a contract signing ceremony.  Pui Ching will be sharing its experience in various areas with No. 8 Senior High School, including school management, educational research, academic exchange, teacher-student networking, etc.  It is hoped that this can assist No. 8 Senior High School with the standardization of school management, organization of teaching seminars, cultivation of a school culture, and the improvement of the overall quality of education. 

Men’s and Women’s Volleyball Team clinch championships, completing 14-year winning streak2022-06-05

The 45th Inter-School Volleyball Competition was held this afternoon at the Macao Polytechnic University.  In the Women’s Category A Finals, Pui Ching Middle School outplayed Santa Rosa de Lima English Secondary School by 3:0, completing its 14-year winning streak.  In the Men’s Category A Finals, Pui Ching Middle School played Instituto Salesiano and also won the championship by 3:0.

Student clinches championship in Macao Secondary School Student Great Bay Area Writing Competition2022-06-01

Pui Ching students participated in the 3rd Macao Secondary School Student Great Bay Area Writing Competition and achieved great results.  Senior 4B student Fong Hoi Io won the championship in the Senior High Category and was invited to share her thoughts on writing in the awards ceremony.  Other award winners from Pui Ching are as follows:

Senior High Graduation Ceremony held in assembly hall2022-06-01

The Senior High School Graduation Ceremony for the 2021-2022 academic year was held at 9:30am and 3:00pm today in the assembly hall.  The school’s board of directors, principals, directors, teachers and parents bore witness to the precious moment for our 220 graduates.

 

School Chancellor Dr. Lo Weng Cheong congratulated the graduates for their outstanding achievements.  Pui Ching graduates have always maintained a 100% university entry rate.  This year 101 graduates have been exempted from the university entrance exam and accepted into 40 universities in mainland China.  57 graduates were exempted from the entrance exam and offered a place in universities in Macao.  Among them, 46 graduates were accepted into the University of Macao on a scholarship.  Our graduates have also received either conditional or unconditional offers from 30 of the top 50 universities listed in Times Higher Education, including Oxford University, Imperial College London, Stanford University, and Johns Hopkins University.  Dr. Lo mentioned that despite the pandemic, teachers and students are still achieving great results in various online regional and international competitions and exchange activities.  He closed by encouraging the graduates to serve their country and the world with integrity and compassion.

 

Senior 3 graduates Ao Kam Kuan and Pao Hon Lam respectively spoke as valedictorians in the graduation ceremony in the morning and afternoon.  They extended their gratitude to the Macao S.A.R. government for its support, teachers and parents for their guidance, and fellow students for their friendship.  Principal Kou Kam Fai mentioned that this year’s graduating class had experienced the trial of the pandemic and encouraged them to look at every crisis with positivity.  The graduation ceremonies ended in the school anthem and the blessings of the loved ones of the graduates.

Students come through with flying colors in Macao Inter-School Fencing Competition 2022-05-31

The 11th Macao Inter-School Fencing Competition was held on May 28 and 29.  A total of 45 schools and 415 athletes in Macao entered for the competition.  198 student athletes from Pui Ching participated in Category A to E of the event.  Principal Kou, coaches and parents cheered for the young athletes and they won a total of 1 group grand championship, 7 grand championships within various categories, and 43 individual awards, breaking the record from the previous year.  This is also the fifth consecutive year the athletes received the group grand championship.  Congratulations to all award winners for their outstanding achievements!
