Kindergarten graduates take the stage in musical drama for graduation ceremony2024-06-29

The 2023-2024 Kindergarten Graduation Ceremony was held today at 10:00 AM in the school auditorium. 168 kindergartners received their graduation certificates and awards in the presence of distinguished guests, teachers, and parents.
Principal Dr. Kou Kam Fai delivered the opening speech, expressing gratitude for the continuous trust and support from the parents. The K3 graduates had had a memorable experience earlier with an overnight graduation camping activity on campus. Principal Kou shared his reflections on the experience and took the opportunity to extend his gratitude to all the teachers for their hard work and dedication.
Graduating kindergartners Chang Hoi Cheong, Wong Chin Tong and Lao Ik Hun shared their stories at Pui Ching in three languages on behalf of the graduating class and gave thanks for the dedicated guidance and care provided by their teachers and parents.
At the end of the graduation ceremony, all kindergarten graduates performed in the musical drama Our Story, vividly portraying the story of Pui Ching to guests, teachers, and parents. Finally, every parent received a video on their mobile phone in which each kindergartner expressed their appreciation toward their parents. The graduation ceremony concluded amidst laughter and applause, marking a joyful finale to the children’s wonderful time in kindergarten.
Pui Ching students clinch grand championship in Botball Asia2024-06-28

The 2024 Botball International Educational Robotics Conference (Asia Chapter) was held in Beijing from June 22 to 23. Eleven students from our school participated in the secondary school category in two teams. Both teams came through with flying colors.
PCMS Team B won the following awards: championship and scholarship in the Showdown, grand championship and scholarship, championship in the Points Race, and the Best Strategy Award. Members of PCMS Team B included Mui Lai Kit, Cheong Chi Lok, Chao Hou Lai, Choi Chi Lok, Wong Ka Nok, and Lei Pak Hei.
PCMS Team A won the following awards: second place and scholarship in the Showdown, third place in the Points Race, and the Best Programming Award. Members of PCMS Team A included Loi Kin Teng, Luk Si Long, Chan Seong Ieong, Lao Hou Ioi, and Cheng Keng Hei.

Coloane Campus held its first all-staff meeting2024-06-23

Pui Ching Middle School (Coloane Campus) successfully held its first staff meeting yesterday. Prior to the meeting, Director Choi Lik Hang and Director Cheang Ka Lai guided the team on a tour of the new campus and its surrounding environment, showcasing the school's new facilities and unique designs.
In the meeting, Principal Kou Kam Fai recounted his over 40 years of service at Pui Ching Middle School, imparting his invaluable experience and insights. Vice Principal Ieong Pui Ian also shared her vision for the future of the new campus. Additionally, colleagues took the opportunity to introduce themselves, enhancing mutual understanding and building connections.
The meeting was filled with a lively and vibrant atmosphere. Teachers gained valuable insights from this meeting and are looking forward to offering a variety of educational experiences to students.
Pui Ching among six schools nationwide to be awarded VEX Community Contribution Award2024-06-19

Macao Pui Ching Middle School's VEX Robotics Team has been awarded the 2023 VEX Community Contribution Award by VEX Robotics Asia Pacific. Pui Ching was one of the six schools nationwide to receive the award, which aims to acknowledge teams that have made significant contributions to the field of robotics education.
Since its establishment in 2014, the Pui Ching VEX Robotics Team has actively organized student participation in various national robotics competitions. Over the years, they have received numerous significant awards in VEX competitions, including the Outstanding Achievement Award, the Outstanding Design Award, and the Judge’s Choice Award. They have also represented Macao multiple times in the VEX World Championship held in the United States, competing against top talents from around the world.
In addition to participating in various events, students on the Pui Ching VEX Robotics Team are encouraged to be innovative and explore problems encountered during the competitions. Team members have presented their findings in research papers, some of which have been included in the engineering database EI Compendex. The team’s research findings have also been recognized with various internationally renowned awards, such as the Third Prize and Special Awards in the ISEF (International Science and Engineering Fair), the S. T. Yau High School Science Silver Award, the Gold Award in the Macao International Innovation and Invention Exhibition, and the Merit Award in both the Elite Competition for Potentials Development and Innovation and the Macao Youth Innovation Competition.
The six schools that received the 2023 VEX Community Contribution Award included Macao Pui Ching Middle School, Tongji University, Chengdu No. 7 Middle School, Nanjing Normal University Primary School, Concordia International School of Shanghai, and Tianjin International School.
Graduation ceremony concludes in blessings of teachers and parents2024-06-01

The 2023-2024 high school graduation ceremony was held at 9:00am in the auditorium. A total of 254 students graduated. In the presence of directors from the Education and Youth Development Bureau, members of the school board, principals, teachers, and parents, the graduates concluded their high school journey, opening a new chapter in their lives.
School Chancellor Dr. Lo Weng Cheong delivered the opening speech, extending a warm welcome to the distinguished guests and parents and congratulating the graduating students. For the 2023-2024 academic year, 116 graduates have been admitted to 49 higher education institutions in mainland China through the direct admission program, and an additional 84 students have received offers from various universities in Macao through direct admission; 61 of the students have been admitted to the University of Macao.
Internationally, our school has had students accepted into the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) for two consecutive years. At present, we have received over 40 offers of admission (confirmed or conditional) from universities within the top 50 of the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, including institutions from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, among other countries. The number of admission offers is believed to be rising.
Deputy Director Un Pui In of theEducation and Youth Development Bureau, accompanied by Principal Kou Kam Fai, presented the high school diplomas. The guests of honor awarded various prizes and scholarships to outstanding graduates who had demonstrated exceptional performance in national and international competitions.
Faculty and retired staff members who have served in the school for ten years and onwards were also presented with commemorative medals and plaques. Among the recipients, Principal Kou Kam Fai and Vice-Principal Kuok Keng Man have served for a remarkable 40 and 45 years respectively.
As the ceremony drew to a close, Principal Kou delivered a vote of thanks to the Education and Youth Development Bureau, the faculty and staff members, as well as the parents in attendance for their continuous support. Lastly, the principal extended his best wishes to all the graduating students. The graduation ceremony concluded in the school anthem and the heartfelt blessings of teachers and parents.
