To enhance student understanding of the spirit and history of the May 4^th Movement, the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau held the Macau Student May 4^th Flag-Raising Ceremony this morning at the Macau Polytechnic University.  The Pui Ching Secondary School Choir was invited to participate and sing the national anthem in the ceremony. The flag-raising ceremony served as a poignant reminder of the enduring legacy of the May 4^th Movement.  It is also intended that the event would foster a sense of national pride among young people.

The 48th Geneva International Inventions Exhibition opened on April 26th at the Palexpo Convention Center in Geneva, Switzerland. The exhibition showcased over 1,000 inventions from more than 800 exhibitors representing 40 countries.

Two student projects from Macao Pui Ching Middle School were featured in the competition, including an automatic traffic signal control system based on real-time traffic flow and a personal road condition detection device. Both projects were received well at the exhibition, winning the gold award and bronze award respectively and garnering attention from the media.

During the exhibition, the student contestants also had the opportunity to introduce their projects to Ambassador Wang Shiting, the Chinese Ambassador to Switzerland. The experience broadened the students’ horizons and provided a platform for the students to showcase their innovative inventions.  Our award winners are as follows:

Vice-Principal Kuok Keng Man and teachers of Pui Ching visited Nantong City of Jiangsu Province from April 23^rd to 26^th.  Pui Ching Middle School and Zilanghu Experimental School of Nantong City signed a cooperative agreement and became sister schools.  It is expected that the partnership will broaden students’ horizons and enhance student learning experience by promoting academic exchanges, subject collaboration, and the sharing of teacher experience. 

In the finals for the 46th Inter-School Men's Category B Volleyball Competition, our volleyball team outplayed Colégio Diocesano de São José (5ª) with a score of 2-0, clinching the second championship in inter-school volleyball competitions this year.
