The Pui Ching VEX Robotics Team participated in the China finals of the 2020 VEX Robotics World Championship held in Chongqing from December 25^th to 27^th.  The students entered for the competition in the VRC Secondary School Category and the Senior High Category; one team also entered for the VAIC competition.  One of our teams (Team 5868D with Ieong Hoi Him, Lei Chi Hou and Lei Chan Weng) joined the VRC Secondary School Category.  Three teams joined the Senior High Category: Team 5868B (Tang I Choi, Tou Chi Ieng),  Team 5868C (Chan Hou Fai, Wong Chi Pang, Lei Pak Kio, Wu Man Hei, Cheng Lok Cheong), and Team 5868F (Lei Cheng U, Hong Wang Lok, Ian Chi Hin).  One team (Team 5868X with Chan Wai Chong, Ieong Chio Kit, Ip Wai Hin, Cheok Chi Hin, and Lam Chi Io) joined the VAIC competition.  Over 200 teams reached the finals this year from different regions of the country.  

Team 5868C won the Robot Skills Champion Award in the competition.  Team 5868F won the special award, the Judges Award.  Although Team 5868B and 5868D did not receive any awards this year, they gained valuable experience for the future.  Team 5868X won the highest award in the VAIC competition, the Excellence Award.

Three students from Pui Ching represented Macao in the 16^th Hong Kong and Macao Youth Internet Skills Competition and won various awards.  The competition covered basic knowledge about the internet, information technology and internet security.

Ms. Lam Sao Lan, Mr. Wong Chan Lam and Mr. Leong Kuok Iong provided guidance to the award winners as instructors.

Pui Ching Middle School held a flag raising ceremony this morning to celebrate the founding of the 21^st anniversary of the founding of Macao S.A.R..  Pastor Ao Ieong led the prayer after the ceremony and expressed gratitude that school could proceed as usual during the pandemic.

Principal Kou gave a speech and pointed out that the progress we have made in education over the years has been in large part thanks to the support of the central government under the “One Country Two Systems” policy. 

The Year 2020 has been a difficult year.  Principal Kou commended the central government for effectively combating the pandemic.  We have been able to continue various academic activities at school all thanks to the effort of the government.  Principal Kou expressed gratitude for all we have.  

The Golden Spring Award Short Film Competition held its awards ceremony yesterday.  The event aims to encourage outstanding new media productions.  Pui Ching students won various awards:
