Students win 1 Gold, 1 Silver and 3 Special Awards in Korean Science and Engineering Fair2019-10-28

Upon invitation, three students from Pui Ching Middle School attended the Korean Science and Engineering Fair from October 17th to 22nd, making Pui Ching the only school with a participating team in the competition.  KSEF is Korea’s preliminary competition for seeding contestants to attend international science fairs for Korea.  After two days of competition, Senior 1 student Sin Ka Chon won the Gold Award and the Special Award with his Multi-Functional Intelligent Autonomous Underwater Vehicle.  Senior 1 students Mok Chi Kin and Lei In Hei won the Silver Award and two Special Awards with their Robot for the Self-Supporting Elderly.

In addition to our award-winning students, Ms. Kou Weng Si also won the Excellent Instructor’s Award at the Festival.

 

A total of 4647 videos from Hong Kong, Macau, and 31 provinces, districts and cities of Mainland China entered for the 10th National Youth Science Video Festival.  140 videos entered the finals of the competition.  56 videos won the First Prize, 76 the Second Prize, 2890 the Third Prize, and 19 videos received the “Science Kaleidoscope” Best Individual Video Award.  

Students win championship in “Let’s Get to Know Macau” Primary School Quiz Competition2019-10-27

Pui Ching students attended the “Let’s Get to Know Macau” Primary School Quiz Competition held by the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and came through with flying colors.  Out of a total of 44 teams from 16 schools, Pu Ching’s Lei Tin Long, Ng U Hin and Kuong Chi Hin won the championship.  Ng Hang Chi, Wong Min and Pun Chi Kin won the Fourth Place in the competition.

Students win championship in “Watch Out for Gambling Addiction” Responsible Gambling Short Film-Making Competition2019-10-26

Pui Ching students won various awards in the “Watch Out for Gambling Addiction” Responsible Gambling Short Film-Making Competition.  Junior 2B students Kou Tin U, Wong Heng Sin, Mai Wang Ioi, Pao Hoi Kin, Lam Chou Ngai and Si Ian Wai won the championship with their short film “Gamble”.  Junior 3B students Lei Sin Ieong, Im Ka Ian, Iao Kai Lok, Choi Meng Hei, Pan U Hang and Ng Ka Wai won the Third Award with their short film “Journey of the Gambler”.  Chan Si U, Ngan Chon Wai, Wong Tan I and Chan U Hin won the Merit Award with their “The Gambler’s Home”.  

Pui Ching RBL Team clinches Super Smash Championship in Robot Boxing League2019-10-22

The 15th Robot Boxing League was held on October 19th in Taipei.  A total of 81 teams entered for the competition this year.  Pui Ching students Ho Chon Leong and U Seng Hin again won the Super Smash Championship.  Leong Hou Seng and U Chi Chon came in among the top 32 finalists.
