Students win First Place in Maria Enriquez Gandia International Fair2019-04-11

Junior 3C students Mr. Lao Sap Tou and Mr. Fong Hong U worked under the guidance of their instructor Ms. Kou Weng Si and won the First Place in the Science Category of the 1st Maria Enriquez Gandia International Fair held in Spain.  They were the only team from Macao to win the First Place.  Congratulations to our award-winners.

In celebration of the 130th anniversary of the founding of Pui Ching Middle School, Macao Pui Ching Alumni Association held the Anniversary Cup Table Tennis Friendly Match this afternoon.  Participants involved alumni, students and parents.  Two student teams entered the finals after four hours of intense competition.  Team Sky (with Mr. Lam Chi Kio, Mr. Ng Hei In, and Mr. Mak Tin Ian) played Team Rainbow Warriors (with Mr. Cheong Chon Hin, Mr. So Chon Hei, Mr. Fok Chin Chong, and Mr. Hoi Hou Hang).  The two teams won the gold and silver medal respectively.  Alumni and parents played in Team Unicorn and Team Longevity and came in a tie for the bronze medal.

Students clinch two Gold Awards in International CB Paul Science Quiz 2019-04-03

11 students from Junior 2 to Senior 1 attended the 41st International CB Paul Science Quiz on April 3rd in Singapore.  The competition was conducted in English and covered areas including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Information Technology.  The student contestants won a total of 3 Gold Awards, 4 Silver Awards and 4 Bronze Awards.  The award-winners are as follows:

Gold Award: Wu Kuan Choi, Cheang Chong Ieong (Senior 1)

Silver Award: Kuok Chon Weng, Ng Wai Lam (Senior 1), Leong Pok Kei (Junior 3)

Bronze Award: Chu Pak Nin, Lei Sam Ieng (Senior 1), Lam Chi U (Junior 3)

Members of the Pui Ching Fencing Team attended the 2019 Macao Fencing Ranking Competition I and the 2019 Macao Fencing Team Competition on March 23rd, 24th, last Saturday and last Sunday.  Award-winners in the two competitions are as follows:

Students clinch championship in innovative science competition 2019-03-28

Pui Ching students won the championship in the Innovation and Continuous Development in Science Competition hosted by Imperial College London. 

 

After entering the finals as one of the 7 strongest teams, Senior High students Mr. Wu Kuan Choi and Mr. Choi In Chong and their instructor Ms. Cheong Wai Man set out on March 25th for the final competition held in Imperial College London on March 27th

 

The student contestants were well-prepared for the questions from the judges and impressed the audience with their research, clinching the championship in the competition. 

 

The success of our students would not have been possible had it not been for the guidance of Professor Xu Guan Nan of the University of Macao and the help of Mr. Chan Ka Kong and Mr. U Ting Pong of Pui Ching Middle School.  Many thanks to the teachers and professor for helping to make a dream come true.
