Student clinches Gold Award in WICO World Innovation and Invention Competition 2018-08-06

The 2018 WICO World Innovation and Invention Competition was held in Korea on August 3rd and 4th.  Contestants flocked to the event from Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, India, Korea, China, Singapore, Thailand, the United States, etc.  Pui Ching students won various awards at the competition.  Hoi Wa Tang won the Gold Award, Vietnam Special Award, and the Taiwan Special Award with his 3D Sterilizer.  Wong Cheng Hei and Wong Hoi Io won the Gold Award, India Special Award, and the Taiwan Special Award with their Smart Socks.  Choy Ka Iao won the Gold Award and the Taiwan Special Award with his Scratcher Machine.

The Pui Ching Fencing Team attended training with the Huicui Fencing Club last week and excelled in the 2018 South Guangdong Tournament.

Wind Orchestra achieves success in Asia Pacific Wind Orchestra Festival2018-07-22

The 20th Asia Pacific Wind Orchestra Festival entered its fourth day.  Contestants flocked to the event from Australia, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Macao and Japan.

 

The Pui Ching Wind Orchestra performed in the event yesterday and received critical acclaim, especially for its joint performance with Japanese musician Yo Matsushita.

 

The exchange activities after the performance added color to the trip and allowed students to bond with fellow musicians.

 

The student musicians also visited Nagoya before concluding their trip.

The Pui Ching Dance Team performed in the International Youth Dance Festival Parade this evening.  The team won the applause of many bystanders.

Pui Ching Wind Orchestra attends Asia-Pacific Wind Orchestra Festival in Japan2018-07-21

The Pui Ching Wind Orchestra attended the 20th Wind Orchestra Festival in Japan from July 18th to 22nd.

 

The Pui Ching Wind Orchestra performed with various local school bands and a band from Singapore yesterday.  It learned much from the cooperation with fellow student artists and also won thunderous applause for itself.  The orchestra will be giving its second performance in the Hamamatsu Convention Hall today with Japanese musician Yo Matsushita.  Other performing guests included Pui Ching alumni such as Mr. Lee Chi Pok, Mr. Tam Chi Ho, Mr. Lee Kim Kong, Mr. Chan Seng Hei, Ms. Wong Wing U, Mr. Kwok Si Hoi, and Mr. Leong Chi Lam.
