History-Geography Association celebrates 26th anniversary.2018-04-20

The Pui Ching History-Geography Association celebrates its 26th anniversary and held its 27th inauguration ceremony.  Association Counselor Mr. Wong Hon Kin (also trustee of the school), Mr. Yiu U Cheong, Mr. Choi Ka Wing, Mr. Ip Kam Tim, Mr. Chan Wing Cheong, Vice-Prinicpal Kuok Keng Man, Vice-Principal Chan Keng Lim, and teachers and students of Keang Peng Secondary School and Hou Kong Secondary School all attended the ceremony.  The guests viewed posters and publications from the association as well as Lego constructions of Macao’s historical architecture from parents of the students.

Library Week makes reading fun.2018-04-18

April 23rd is the World Book and Copyright Day.  Each year, the Pui Ching Library holds different celebrations to promote reading.  Principal Kou Kam Fai, Vice-Principal Kuok Keng Man, Vice-Principal Chan Keng Lim, Director Leong Veng Tong, Director Ieong Pui Ian, Director Chan Chi Seng, and student representatives participated in the Library Week Opening Ceremony.  Students recited poems as part of the opening ceremony. 

 

The Library Week consists of seven events, one of which was “The autobiography series: The man with a story” brought to us by Moral Education Director Mr. Leong Veng Tong, who shared with teachers and students his memories in Pui Ching in the last 40 years, the school’s history, and the founding principles of Pui Ching.  Other events included The China Studies Forum, Theatre Game Show, “Think Before You Share” Tongue Twister Game Booths, 423E Reading, The Book Giveaway Contest, and The Anhui Cultural Exchange Report Display, which is placed on the ground floor of Block H from April 16th to 28th.

The International Engineering Invention Innovation Exhibition iENVEX 2018 was held from April 13th to 15th at University Malaysia Perlis.  Various students working under the guidance of Mr. Un Kuok Chin and Mr. Chan Kin Hung made outstanding achievements.

 

Primary 6 students Mr. Cheang Pak Hou, Mr. Wong Hou Cheng, Mr. Wong Yin Long, and Mr. Lao Si In invented the Automatic Height and Weight Measurement and Recording Device, winning the Double Gold Award as well as the Thailand International Best Invention Award.

 

Primary 6 students Mr. Wong Lok Io and Mr. Lao Iek Tong invented the Anti-Theft Luggage Device and won the Gold Award and the Thailand International Best Invention Award.

 

Primary 6 students Mr. Cheang Shing Hei, Mr. Pang Tin Long, and Mr. Ieong Hoi Him invented the LEGO Sorter, which won them the Gold Award and the Taiwan Honorary Invention Award.

 

Primary 6 students Mr. Hon Seng Chon and Mr. Qi Chan On’s work Gas Poisoning Prevention Device received the Gold Award and the Taiwan Honorary Invention Award.

 

Primary 6 student Ms. Sou Rita Sonia’s invention Homework Submission System received the Silver Award and the Korea Special Award.

 

Primary 6 student Mr. Tang Chi Ian won the Silver Award and the Taiwan Honorary Invention Award with his Anti-Sleep Cap.

 

Primary 6 student Mr. Chang Chi Lok won the Silver Award and the Taiwan Honorary Invention Award with the Anti-Traffic Jam Bridge Device.

 

Primary 5 student Mr. Vong Pak Io won the Silver Award and the Taiwan Honorary Invention Award with the Anti-Flood Car Park.

Primary students win Gold and Silver in International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva2018-04-15

Accompanied by their teacher Mr. Ma Yiu Kon, two Primary 6 students participated in the International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva. Mr. Chang Cheng Hei invented the Smart Fish Tank under the guidance of his instructor Mr. Un Kuok Chin and won the Gold Award.  Mr. Cheung Lok Teng invented the Smart Headband under the guidance of his instructor Ms. Chan Sio Teng and won the Silver Award.

 

The International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva is one of the world’s three major exhibitions of inventions. The exhibition attracted contestants from 40 countries and regions and showcased about 1000 inventions.
