Portugal Happy Spring Festival Gala 20182018-02-18

The 2018 Portugal Happy Spring Festival Gala was held on February 16 in Póvoa de Varzim. The performance of the student artists received the acclaim of the general audience.
Ambassador Cai Run extended his gratitude to all performing groups, especially the Pui Ching Dance Team, whose secondary and primary school students gave up the opportunity to spend time with their family during Chinese New Year to bring everyone a heartfelt performance thousands of miles away from home.
Students clinch two Golds, 3 Silvers, 17 Bronzes at International Biomedical Quiz2018-02-14

22 students entered for the 2018 International Biomedical Quiz in Singapore and won a total of two Golds, 3 Silvers and 17 Bronzes in the Senior and Junior Category. Ms. Chan Si Hang and Mr. Chan Kun Wang won the Gold Award; and Ms. Ieong Sin U, Ms. Koc I Fai, and Mr. Sun Cheng Hin won the Silver Award. The theme this year was Geriatric Medicine. The instructors of the award-winning students were Ms. Io Hio Fai, Ms. Leong Ieng Ieng, and Mr. U Kin Pong.

The awards ceremony for the 2016/2017 Excellent Teacher’s Award held by the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau was held today. Pui Ching teachers Mr. Li Chun and Ms. Fan Mei Va were conferred the honor.

Historical and Cultural Affairs Commission visits Pui Ching2018-02-09
Representatives of the Macao Historical and Cultural Affairs Commission visited Pui Ching’s Chinese Culture House this afternoon. Vice-Principal Dr. Chan Keng Lim and Curator of the Chinese Culture House Dr. Chong Chon Fai introduced the Culture House and Pui Ching’s curriculum on history and culture. Pui Ching students performed the tea ceremony and played the guzheng and the Chinese zither for the guests. President of the executive committee of the Macao Foundation Mr. Ng Chi Leong expressed hopes of further cooperation in the future to promote Chinese culture to students at all levels.
Visiting guests included Vice-President of the executive committee of the Macao Foundation Ms. Chong I, Director of the One Country Two Systems Center of the Macao Polytechnic Institute Dr. Leng Tie Xun, Director of the Institute for Social and Cultural Research of the Macao University of Science and Technology Dr. Lam Kwong Chi, and Director of the Special Programs Center of the Macao Foundatoin Ms. Leong Nga Tou.
