Pui Ching students entered for the Slogan Creation and Cup Design Competition hosted by the Macao Youth without Borders Association.  7 senior high school students won the Merit Award in the Slogan Creation Competition.  Junior 3 student Ms. Weng Sam Lou received the Bronze Award in the Cup Design Competition and Senior 1 student Mr. Cheng In Chio received the Award of Distinction.

Deputy Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Formative Education Mr. Jia Bin Ma, Director of the Research and Resources Department of the Macao Education and Youth Affairs Bureau Mr. Kin Mo Wong, and Officer of the Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Affairs Office of the Department of Education Ms. Jun Zhang arrived in Pui Ching for a tour this morning.  Mr. Ma, Mr. Wong and Ms. Zhang visited the school’s China Culture House and had the pleasure of listening to the Chinese zither performance of Senior 3 student Ms. Weng Chi Chan.  Vice-Principal Mr. Kuok introduced E-learning at Pui Ching and led a tour of the school Fabrication Laboratory.  Mr. Ma commended Pui Ching on its teaching and expressed interest in a future visit.

Members of the board of trustees, principals of the secondary and primary school, administrative staff, and representatives of the alumni association of the St. Paul’s College visited Pui Ching today and commended Pui Ching on its facilities such as the China Culture House and Fabrication Laboratory.

Lui Che Woo College of the Univeristy of Macao and Pui Ching Middle School hosted a joint talk on “Current Events from a Historical Perspective”.  Director of the History panel Mr. Chon Lei from Pui Ching Middle School shared his perspective with university and secondary school students.

The sharing took place at Lui Che Woo College at 8pm on March 23^rd.  After an introduction by Assistant Dean Dr. Sek Chong Tam, Mr. Chon Lei discussed current events from a historical perspective and how these tie in with values in contemporary society.  Mr. Lei’s class has been highly recommended by Pui Ching trustee Mr. Chon Man Yeung.  The Education and Youth Affairs Bureau also expressed high regards for Mr. Lei after the talk.  In addition, Mr. Lei has given a demonstration class upon invitation by the China Education Association, which commended Mr. Lei on his inspirational lecture.
