Pui Ching wins group championship in the 5th Macao Inter-school Piano Competition2016-10-10

Pui Ching won the group championship in the 5th Macao Inter-school Piano Competition co-hosted by the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China and the Macao Youth Musician Association. Primary 6 student Ms. Ning Ieong won the championship and the Best Performance Award in the Macau student open category, the Primary 6 championship in the general category, and the championship in the primary school category B. Other award winners were as follows: Junior 3 students Mr. Ka Chon Ng and Mr. Hoi Chon Mok were the champion and the second-runner up in the general category; Junior 2 student Ms. Ion Cheng Un was the Junior 2 second runner-up in the general category; Junior 1 student Mr. Iao Hoi Leong won the 4th place in the Junior 1 general category; Primary 6 student Mr. Chi Wang Tam came in the 4th place in the Primary 6 general category; Primary 5 student Mr. U Hoi Gao was the second runner-up in the Primary 5 general category; Primary 3 student Ms. Sin Wa Chan was the first runner-up in the Primary 3 general category; Primary 1 students Mr. In Lok Ho, Ms. Wing Lam Si, and Ms. Wing Ting Si won the championship, the 4th place, and the 5th place respectively in the Primary 1 general category; Kindergarten 1 student Mr. Hok Cheng Chan won the 5th place in the kindergarten general category.
The awards ceremony was held in the Venetian Hotel on October 9. Vice-principal Dr. Keng Man Kuok was invited to be the master of ceremonies, and Primary 6 student Ms. Ning Ieong was invited to give a solo recital at the ceremony. Many congratulations to our award winners this year!
Student athletes showcase their talent at annual sports meet2016-10-07
The 46th Pui Ching Track and Field Sports Meet was held for three days in the Macau Stadium and concluded at 3:30pm on October 7th.
Among the guests of honor at the closing ceremony were: honorary trustees of the school board, trustees of the school board, vice-presidents of Pui Ching Alumni Association, deputy director of Pui Ching Sports Association, and technical counselors for the Sports Meet. The guests of honor presented medals, trophies, and silk banners to the award winners at the athletic contests, and Pui Ching principal Dr. Kam Fai Kou addressed the audience at the closing ceremony.
As part of the tradition, the 800-meter student-teacher Happy Run took place on the second day. The student-teacher friendly relay match before the closing ceremony was also a highlight of the Sports Meet.
6 student athletes broke 5 records at this year’s Sports Meet. Senior 2 student Mr. Ka Hei Chan cleared a height of 1.86 meters in the men’s high jump category and broke the record set by school director Mr. Veng Tong Leong 34 years ago. At the closing ceremony, Principal Kou encouraged students to check out the 12th Five-Year Plan Technology and Innovation Exhibition over the holidays, which displays high-end technology products from the P.R.C.. Principal Kou also extended his gratitude to students, teachers and the entire Pui Ching staff for making the Sports Meet possible and to the guests, parents and alumni for their support.

Two Grade 6 classes went on a field trip this morning to the 12th Five-Year Plan Technology and Innovation Exhibition held at the Venetian. Students attended the opening ceremony and the exhibition and learned about the development of various national high-end technology products.

Pui Ching receives various awards in Green Campus Awards Scheme2016-09-28

The Environmental Conservation Bureau held the awards ceremony today for the Green Campus Awards Scheme. Pui Ching received the Green Campus Grand Award. In the Environmental Consciousness Lesson Plan Design Awards Scheme, Pui Ching teachers Ms. In Han Fong, Ms. Wai Sin Ng, Ms. Wai Tong, and Ms. Ion Mei Lam received the first prize in the kindergarten and primary school categories. Ms. In Cheng Wong received the Merit Award. Mr. Kuok Chin Un and Ms. Lai Leng Chan were respectively awarded the Merit award and the Environment-Friendly Campus Award.
Students were also invited by the Environmental Conservation Bureau to introduce environment-friendly toys made from recycled waste materials. The presentation appealed to many guests at the awards ceremony.
