Students clinch first prize in Guangdong Creative Robots Competition2020-11-28

The offline rematch for the 9th Guangdong Creative Robots Competition was held in the Guangdong Science Center today. Macao Pui Ching Middle School’s S2A Team won the first prize.
60 teams and over 300 teachers and students from all over Guangdong and Macao S.A.R. gathered in Guangzhou. The theme this year was “Industrial Robots”. Student contestants Chan Kuan Ieong, Si Ian Meng, Cheng U Hin, and Cheng Kai Ieong participated in the competition with their instructor Mr. Ho Seng Kuan. They expressed that this competition had been a great learning opportunity.

Students win Gold Award in International Genetically Engineered Machine Competition 2020-11-23

Pui Ching students entered for the 2020/2021 International Genetically Engineered Machine Competition and won the Gold Award.
Over 500 teams of university and secondary school students from all over the world, including more than 6000 contestants, participated in the iGEM competition this year. Due to the pandemic, this year’s competition was especially challenging because students were faced with problems such as school suspension, the closure of the laboratories, restrictions on the number of people allowed in the laboratory, challenges with the purchase of drugs, etc. The hosting organization also made new requirements such as video and multi-media production. Students attended virtual discussions with fellow contestants from all over the world and answered questions from the judges in real time.
Students win Gold Award in National Inventions Exposition & Innovations Challenge2020-11-22

The 24th National Inventions Exposition: The One Belt One Road and BRICS Technology Development and Innovations Challenge was held from November 19th to 21st in the Tanzhou International Exposition Center in Foshan. Four Primary 6 students from Pui Ching introduced their works to participants from all over the country. Their inventions stood out from among 2050 entries, winning the recognition of the judges.

Students win the only Gold Award in Macao in APCYS20202020-11-07

The 9th Asia Pacific Conference of Young Scientists (APCYS2020) was held online for the first time. APCYS2020 consists of five categories: Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Life Science, Environmental Science. The competition comes in the form of poster design presentations, thesis reports and short film presentations. All components proceeded in English.
Pui Ching students Leong Chi Hou (Senior 3), Lou Weng Ka (Senior 2), and Cheng Lai Man (Senior 1) won the Gold Award in the Physics Category, the only Gold Award in Macao. Their instructor was Chan Ka Kong.
Students win group championship in Inter-School Bowling Competition2020-11-01

The 12th Inter-School Bowling Competition concluded today. Pui Ching students won various awards in individual, doubles, group, and all-round competitions. In particular, our students won the grand championship in the group competition. Congratulations to our award winners!
