The opening ceremony for the CTM x Pui Ching 5G Smart Apps Research Laboratory was held this afternoon at the school assembly hall. This is the first 5G Smart Apps Research Laboratory located in a secondary school in Macao. It aims to give room to the expression of innovative ideas from teachers and students.
The opening ceremony for the research laboratory was initiated when various guests touched the screen on their iPads. Our teacher Ms. Wan Chi Fong introduced the research projects on 5G smart apps development. The ceremony marks a new chapter in education reform and the beginning of Pui Ching’s cooperation with CTM to build a 5G smart campus.
Following the ceremony, various guests visited the 5G Smart Apps Research Laboratory for an introduction of the research projects. Currently, the laboratory offers a virtual tour app for our China Culture House. It also houses the research center for service robots and underwater robots. It is hoped that teachers and students can make use of the ultra-high speed and low latency of 5G networks to conduct more research projects here.
