Director of Bureau of Societal and Cultural Affairs Dr. Tam Chon Weng met with the management team of Pui Ching Middle School and Pui Ching Alumni Association at the government headquarters.  Among our visitors were School Chancellor Mr. Lo Weng Cheong, School Principal Dr. Kou Kam Fai, President of the Alumni Association Mr. Wong Hon Kin, Chief Supervisor of the Alumni Association Ms. Wong Mou Cheng, School Vice-Principal Mr. Kuok Keng Man, Vice-Principal Dr. Chan Keng Lim, and Director of Moral Education Mr. Leong Veng Tong.
 

School Chancellor Mr. Lo and Principal Kou mentioned that with the support of the S.A.R. Government, Pui Ching has been able to dedicate itself to creating diverse learning opportunities for students and witness their outstanding achievements in many areas.  Dr. Tam commended Pui Ching on its education philosophy and education outcomes.  In celebration of its 130th anniversary, Pui Ching Middle School and Pui Ching Alumni Association will be organizing a series of events and are excited to be having the honour of the company of Dr. Tam. 

 

 

Students win championship in Youth International Affairs Knowledge Quiz Competition2019-10-31

Students from the International Issues Study Group attended the finals of the 10th Macau Youth International Affairs Knowledge Quiz Competition and won the championship. 

 

The award-winning students include Sio Hin Wa (Senior 3D), Lei Chin Cheng (Senior 2D), Ma Ieng Hei (Senior 2D), Lei Cheng In (Senior 2E) and Chan Chi San (Senior 2E).  Ms. Deng Yi Jing worked with them as their instructor.  Junior 3B student Ngan Chon Wai and Senior 2E student Kuok Kei U helped to edit the videos for the competition under the guidance of Mr. Ng Ka Meng.

The Pui Ching Middle School Choir participated in the Asia Culture Art Fest Macao 2019 and achieved very good results in various categories:

First Runner-up: Ip Kin Chon (Teacher)

Primary 3 student Tang U Fei won the First Prize in the Piano Competition in the Festival and was the youngest contestant and award-winner in the Festival.  

Pui Ching wins Exemplary School Award for Energy Conservation2019-10-18

Pui Ching won the Exemplary School Award for Energy Conservation in the 2019 School Energy Conservation Culture Promotion Event.  Pui Ching also won the School Energy Conservation Comprehensive Gold Award in the Primary School Category and the School Energy Conservation Comprehensive Silver Award in the Secondary School Category.  Mr. Lam Kin Pong, Ms. Wong Suet Lin and Ms. Chan Sio Teng won the Energy Conservation Teaching Activity Award.  Students working with Mr. Un Kuok Chin and Mr. Kuok Chan Ip received the Energy Conservation Science Literary Award in the Primary School Category.  Junior 1D student Ng Hei Kio received the Energy Conservation Writing Award.  Ms. Wong Suet Lin was invited to share her teaching experience at the awards ceremony. 

 

Pui Ching student participates in National Day parade2019-10-01

The National Day this year marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. 100,000 people and 70 floats paraded through Tiananmen Square in Beijing. Two of the floats represented Hong Kong and Macau. Pui Ching student Fong Su participated in the parade with Macau representatives from the food industry, medical industry, police force, and athletic teams. Mr. Fong previously won the third prize with his teammates in the Intel Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) this year.

Members of the school board of directors Mr. Lau Weng Seng and Mr. Mok Chi Wai, Principal Kou Kam Fai, and Vice-Principal Kuok Keng Man also made a special trip to Beijing and joined in the celebration.
