Business—School Cooperation Program Closing Ceremony cum Micro-Film Production Competition Awards Ceremony2017-05-10
The Business—School Cooperation Program Closing Ceremony cum Micro-Film Production Competition Awards Ceremony was held this morning in the Assembly Hall at Pui Ching Middle School.
In the Business—School Cooperation Program, Pui Ching Middle School and the Macao Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) gave students the opportunity to visit the bank and interact with bankers, taking teaching and learning out of the classroom. The program allowed students to take a close look at Macao’s business-based economy and the operation of retail banking. A number of Senior 2 students at Pui Ching have also been offered the opportunity to take part in the Macao ICBC Talent Mentoring Program in July.
At the closing ceremony, students were presented with their program completion certificates. Students also had the chance to air their own micro-films and share with their peers their career plans in finance.
Pui Ching Vice-Principal Mr. Keng Man Kuok and Macao ICBC Deputy CEO Mr. Hoi Cheng expressed hopes of further cooperation between ICBC and Pui Ching in the future.
Mr. Kin Fu Fong gives talk on entrepreneurship 2017-04-11
Pui Ching had the pleasure of the company of Mr. Kin Fu Fong, director-general of the Macao Association of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses. Mr. Fong gave a talk to Junior 3 and Senior 1 students on entrepreneurship this morning. During the talk, Mr. Fong not only discussed what is required of the entrepreneur in the preparatory stages, but also shared personal stories from young entrepreneurs in Macao.
Dr. Dong Mei Jiang gives talk and conducts training at Pui Ching2017-04-11
Pui Ching had the pleasure of Dr. Dong Mei Jiang’s company on April 10. Dr. Jiang is an expert in environmental education and science education. She received China’s 6th Earth Award in 2002 because of her contribution to environmental protection and science education. Mr. Jiang gave a talk to Primary and Junior 1 and 2 studetns in science literacy in the morning. She conducted a training session for Science and Information Technology teachers at Pui Ching in the afternoon. Pui Ching also had the pleasure of hiring Dr. Jiang as the school’s volunteer consultant in Innovative Technology.
Hong Kong Fanling Kao Yan College visits Pui Ching2017-04-11
The Hong Kong Fanling Kao Yan College (FKYC) visited Pui Ching on April 10. Teachers from FKYC observed a Senior 2 English Reading Comprehension lesson from Mr. Sebastian Chan, a Junior 3 History lesson from Ms. Chi Cheng Chong, and a Primary 5 Design and Science lesson from Ms. Sio Teng Chan. Teachers from FKYC and Pui Ching followed the class observations up with discussions on curriculum planning. FKYC teachers also visited the school China Culture House, Fabrication Laboratory, library, Lego Laboratory, among other school facilities.
Students go on Panoramic Vision Trip 2017-04-07
To encourage students who have made significant progress in school and who have demonstrated outstanding service to others, the Macao Daily Reader’s Foundation sponsored 31 Pui Ching students from Primary 5 to Junior 2 in their participation in the Panoramic Vision Trip held from April 7th to 9th. Under the supervision of their teachers, students visited education and social welfare institutions in Hong Kong. The opportunity allowed students to develop their thinking outside the classroom and broaden their horizons.
