The 38th China Adolescents Science and Technology Innovation Contest was held in Tianjin from July 25 to 29.  The competition was co-hosted by the China Association for Science and Technology, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Communist Youth League of China, the All-China Women's Federation, and the Tianjin Municipal Government.  Multiple teams from our school were selected by the Education and Youth Development Bureau to participate in the event.  Pui Ching students won a total of one first prize, three second prizes, four third prizes, and five special awards, making us the top award winner in Macao. Among the award winners, Lao Chit, Hon Pok Man and Lei Wang Hei were the only team from Macao to receive a first prize.  Congratulations to our young scientists!

From July 19th to 23rd, 29 students from our primary school choir participated in the "2024 Panda Sound Chengdu (International) Children's Choral Music Week" event held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, where they performed alongside outstanding children's choirs from France, New Zealand, South Korea, Chongqing, and Chengdu.

Our primary school choir performed three children's choral pieces in different languages and styles: Fireflies, ¡Viva la Música!, and The Song of Seven Sons. The event gave our young musicians the opportunity to engage in artistic exchange with children’s choirs from different parts of the world and proved to be a great learning experience.

Members of our school's drone training course were invited to participate in the 2024 Hong Kong Inter-School Drone Soccer Tournament. In the intense competition, our students demonstrated excellent tactical cooperation, precise operational skills, and innovative abilities in modifying the soccer drones. In the end, our teams stood out among the sixteen participating teams and emerged as the champion and second runner-up. The award winners are as follows:

The Macao-Gansu Fraternal Society and the Lanzhou University Zhuhai-Macao Alumni Association donated a set of ancient coins from various Chinese dynasties to the Chinese Culture House of Macao Pui Ching Middle School. The coins cover a history of approximately four thousand years, from ancient times to the last century.

Principal Kou Kam Fai extended his gratitude to the alumni association and fraternal society for the donation. He expressed that the collection was an important educational tool that promotes Chinese culture.  The ancient coins tell numerous stories about our history and heritage, providing valuable insights into the economic systems, cultural practices, and artistic traditions of our ancestors.
