Pui Ching Middle School Macau Wins Championship in the “2026 FIRST LEGO League (FLL) Asia Open Championship”2026-08-23

The “2026 FIRST LEGO League (FLL) Asia Open Championship” was successfully held from August 13-16, 2026 at the Beijing Yanqi Lake International Convention & Exhibition Center in Huairou, Beijing, China.

Our school's Kindergarten and Primary sections sent representative teams to compete in three divisions: Discover (Kindergarten), Explore (Primary), and Challenge (Primary). Relying on their outstanding innovative thinking, solid engineering and programming skills, and excellent teamwork, our team members stood out in various matches and judging sessions. They won multiple awards, fully demonstrating our school's outstanding achievements in STEAM education.

Our teams achieved remarkable success across all participating categories. In the Discover Division (Kindergarten), team Treasure Hunters took home the Champion title and the Peer Award. Team Treasure Digging Marmots secured both the Team Model Award and the Peer Award, while the Ancient Civilization Exploration Team also earned the Team Model Award. Furthermore, our dedicated instructors, Miss 馮慶雯 and Miss 何澄茵, were both honored with the Outstanding Coach Award.

In the Explore Division (Primary), Red and Blue Team A won Third Place, and Red and Blue Team E was recognized with the Core Values Award. Finally, in the Challenge Division, team Bricksters proudly received the Robot Performance Award.

This year's competition featured the archaeology theme UNEARTHED, bringing together over 500 participating teams and nearly 3,500 student competitors from more than 30 countries and regions worldwide. The event consisted of three divisions: Discover, Explore, and Challenge. Centered around the theme of archaeological exploration, students engaged in mission challenges, Innovation Project judging sessions, and teamwork competitions. Using LEGO as their medium, the participants integrated engineering design, programming logic, historical research, and innovative thinking. Through poster displays and live demonstrations, they presented their innovative concepts and defended their projects to the judging panels.

Winning Two World Championships at the Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship2026-08-01

At the recently concluded "2026 Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship" in California, USA, three students from our school representing Macao, China, stood out among top young competitors worldwide. With their outstanding technical skills and steady performance, they captured two World Champion titles, bringing glory to both Macao and our school.

This year's event gathered software skills elites from around the globe, making the competition remarkably fierce. Our student Zhong Tin Kin won the World Champion title in the Microsoft Office Specialist Excel (Office 2019) category, while Liang Xinzhi also claimed the World Champion title in the Microsoft Office Specialist PowerPoint (Office 2019) category, taking the global number one spot. In addition, Ana Guo performed exceptionally well in the Microsoft Office Specialist Excel (Microsoft 365 Apps) category, achieving 8th place globally. Relying on their proficient software operation skills and innovative thinking, the three students demonstrated the outstanding capabilities of our school on the international stage.

These remarkable achievements are not only personal honors for the winning students but also an affirmation of our school's continuous efforts in promoting Information Technology education. Adhering to our school motto of “Righteousness and Excellence” (至善至正), our school discovers students’ potential through diversified curricula and training, nurturing future talents equipped with both technical prowess and a global perspective.

Our school would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) Government and the Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Center (CPTTM) for their continuous emphasis on and support for IT education, as well as their meticulous arrangements and assistance for the students' competition journey. At the same time, we also thank the instructing teachers for their hard work and guidance. We hope our students will continue to strive for excellence and achieve even greater success in the future.

Pui Ching Middle School Choir Achieves Outstanding Results at Beijing Competition2026-07-17

From July 13 to 18, the Macau Pui Ching Middle School Choir traveled to Beijing to participate in the China International Chorus Festival (CICF). This was the first time the school's newly formed Girls' Choir competed. Thanks to their expressive, moving performance and confident stage presence, they successfully captured First-Class Honors—the highest award in the Youth Category.
The competition was highly competitive, bringing together over 300 choral groups from home and abroad. After days of intensive rehearsals and refinement through masterclasses, the choir members flawlessly presented their competition repertoire, fully demonstrating the outstanding artistic literacy of Macau's youth. During the trip, the team also attended the opening ceremony at the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA), engaged in joint performances and musical exchanges, and visited various cultural venues.
Winning this top honor is a great recognition of the school's achievements in arts education. Using music as a bridge, this brand-new female choir showcased the unique charm of Macau's youth to the mainland, gaining precious experiences in cultural exchange and personal growth.

Won Global 2nd Place at the International SeaPerch Challenge2026-06-09

Our Students Won Global 2nd Place at the 2026 International SeaPerch Challenge.

From May 30 to 31, 2026, the 2026 International SeaPerch Challenge was successfully held at the University of Maryland, USA. Hosted by RoboNation, this event is a premier global underwater robotics competition. This year, the challenge attracted 210 elite student teams from around the world to dive into the competition. Participating countries included the United States, China, New Zealand, Kazakhstan, Egypt, Kenya, and Puerto Rico. Macau Pui Ching Middle School recently sent two teams, comprising a total of nine students, to the United States to compete fiercely against top-tier talents from across the globe.

This competition comprehensively evaluates students' engineering thinking, interdisciplinary literacy, and teamwork capabilities. The scoring consists of multiple components, including the Obstacle Course, the Mission Course, the Technical Design Report, and the Team Presentation. Amidst fierce competition against 210 top teams worldwide, our students achieved a major historical breakthrough, relying on their solid STEM foundations and exceptional team synergy.

In this year's challenge, our school's teams made historic strides. Through their exceptional operational prowess and strong mental fortitude, Team DeltaX captured 2nd Place Overall Globally in the Middle School division, while also securing 3rd Place in the Mission Course. Among all participating teams from China, Team DeltaX achieved the most outstanding results, and they also ranked first among all participating Asian teams, delivering a truly stellar performance. Simultaneously, Team DeltaY also gave it their all. Standing out in the intense competition among the 210 elite teams, they successfully secured an impressive 16th Place Overall Globally in the Middle School division. The achievements of both Pui Ching teams have shattered our school's previous highest records in this competition, writing a brilliant new chapter in the history of our school's STEM and innovation education.

Traveling to the U.S. and bringing home the global 2nd place title is a testament to our school's long-term dedication to promoting science, innovation, and STEAM education. Our school has always been committed to building diverse technological learning platforms for our students, encouraging them to step beyond Macau and onto the international stage. We take great pride in the “Pui Ching Spirit” our students showcased at this international competition. Looking ahead, we hope all our students will maintain their enthusiasm for scientific exploration and remain bold in their pursuit of innovation.

Signing of an Internship Cooperation Agreement for High School Students with a Law Firm2026-06-04

On the afternoon of June 4, our school and WICH Law Firm & Private Notary held a signing ceremony for a high school student internship program. Witnessed by the firm's Senior Advisor Dr. Iau Teng Pio, lawyers Dr. Ho Chon Hou and Dr. Chau Seng Chon, Lawyer Dra. Lou Weng In officially signed the cooperation agreement with our school on behalf of WICH Law Firm & Private Notary. Both parties have joined hands to launch this internship program, creating a valuable platform for high school students to gain practical legal experience.

Principal Kou Kam Fai expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the firm for providing this rare opportunity. He pointed out that this program allows students to personally experience the day-to-day operations and professionalism of the legal industry before they have to make decisions regarding their higher education pathways. This will help students make clearer and more informed plans for their university studies and future careers.

Senior Advisor Dr. Iau Teng Pio stated that this is the firm's first time launching an internship program with a high school. He thanked the school for its support and expressed his hope that the program can be successfully expanded to other high schools in Macao in the future, working together to deeply cultivate and nurture high-quality legal professionals for Macao. This collaboration has deepened the interaction between schools and enterprises, injecting fresh momentum into the development of young legal talents in Macao.
