"My Zero Carbon Citizen Initiative" featured in book launch event2025-04-22

The book launch event for My Zero Carbon Citizen Initiative, produced by Pui Ching Middle School and published by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, was held today at 5:00pm at the Macao Tap Seac Multisport Pavilion.
The book features the creative works of 201 students from kindergarten to Grade 12 from Pui Ching Middle School. It includes artwork and essays that authentically capture the students' journey toward a low-carbon lifestyle, addressing topics such as daily energy-saving practices, carbon neutrality certification, and reflections on the impact of consumer behavior on the environment.
During the event, student representatives Lam Hoi Cheng, Man U Ian, and Lam Chi U shared their experiences as authors. Following the presentations, a signing session took place, drawing a large crowd of readers as well as teachers and students from Pui Ching, creating a warm and lively atmosphere.
Pui Ching students clinch gold and silver at Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions2025-04-16

Two students from Pui Ching Middle School participated in the 50th Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions held in Switzerland from April 9 to 13. Their entries stood out among over 1,000 inventions from nearly 40 countries and regions, winning one gold and one silver award. Their inventions showcase their exceptional research and innovation abilities, earning them international recognition.
Grade 11 student Kuong Hon Chon won the gold award with his "Adaptive Dual Adjustable Lift Device for Sustainable Power Generation", which he designed under the guidance of Mr. Min Hao Nian.
The silver award went to Grade 6 student Mui Lik Hou, who received the accolade for his wearable air quality sensor, designed under the guidance of Mr. Kuok Chan Ip.
Students harness AI to discover novel antimicrobial peptides2025-04-16

From April 7 to 11, the 2025 National Academic Conference of the Chinese Society for Cell Biology was held at the Zhuhai International Convention and Exhibition Center. As the largest and most prestigious academic conference in the field of cell biology in China, the event attracted renowned experts, academicians, and top scholars from various fields, totaling over 2,000 attendees covering multiple areas of research such as cell metabolism, neuroscience, stem cells, and organelle interactions.
Among the many academic presentations, the research results of a team of high school students stood out. The work of Grade 11 students Chan Hok Son, Chan Keng Lam, and Hoi Heng Un from Pui Ching was selected for presentation at the conference. The students presented their study titled "Discovery and screening of anticandidal peptides based on GAN and LSTM" at the conference’s sub-session on Artificial Intelligence and Life Health Research. Our students were the only high school representatives presenting at the conference.
The student research was conducted under the guidance of Mr. Wong Chan Lam of our Information Technology Department. The students’ advising professors were Dr. Wong Tok and Dr. Lei Su from the AI Drug Discovery Center of the Macao Polytechnic University.

The 42nd Inter-School Singing Competition for the secondary school division was held last night. Pui Ching students performed The Storyteller who Narrates to the Common People and Echoes of the Lost World, winning the Distinction Award (the highest award).

The primary school division of the 42nd Inter-School Singing Competition was held today. Pui Ching Team A performed "Xiao Ya: The Deer Call" and "Winter Solstice Roast Chicken," winning the Distinction Award. Pui Ching Team B sang "Chorus of the Earth" and "Calico Cat," earning the Merit Award.
