To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the 25th anniversary of the handover of Macao to mainland China, and the 135th anniversary of the founding of Pui Ching Middle School, Macao Pui Ching Middle School organized the "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Fencing Invitational Tournament – the Pui Ching Cup." The event took place from December 6 to 8 at the school's Coloane campus.

The competition featured fencers from 79 schools across various regions and spanned a total of 36 categories. Approximately 900 participants competed in individual and team events for both men and women.
