Students clinch world championship and fifth place in International Junior Botball Challenge2024-08-07

Ten of our students participated in the 2024 Global Conference on Educational Robotics (GCER) held in North Carolina from July 25-31. They won the world championship and ranked fifth in the International Junior Botball Challenge.  In the International Botball Challenge, they secured the seventh place and received the Judge’s Choice Award.

 

The award-winning students are as follows:

 

International Junior Botball Challenge:

- World champions: Ik Lok Hang, Wu Iak Cheng, Wu Nok Hang

- Fifth place winners: Chan Si Hon, Tang Cheng Him

 

International Botball Challenge:

Seventh place & Judge’s Choice Award winners: Loi Kin Teng, Chan Seong Ieong, Lao Hou Ioi, Luk Si Long, Cheng Keng Hei

 

The International Botball Tournament is an educational robotics initiative derived from MIT robotics competitions.  The event requires students to solve practical engineering problems within a fixed timeframe and with limited resources.
