Children’s dance wins Distinction Award and Creativity Award in Inter-School Dance Competition2024-05-19

The 42nd Inter-School Dance Competition in the Primary School Division was held today, and our school's children's dance "Returning Egrets" won the Creativity Award and the highest award, the Distinction Award.

The 42nd Inter-School Dancing Competition in the Secondary School Category was held yesterday at the University of Macao.

 

Our student dancers participated in the event in two teams and respectively performed the ethnic folk dance "Leba Leba" and the Chinese classical dance "Lotus Drums and the Yuege Journey".  Both performances received the highest award, the distinction award.

The 2024 Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (Regeneron ISEF 2024) was held in Los Angeles.  Pui Ching students who represented Macao in the event exceled in the competition.  Three teams from our school participated in ISEF 2024 and all came through with flying colors.  Two teams won the 4th Award and one team won the Special Award.  The award winners are as follows:

The 2023 Macao-Wide English Essay Competition (MEEC) held its award ceremony on 16th March 2024.

The theme of this writing competition is ‘Nature and Me’. The event, which has drawn over 1,600 student contestants from 47 schools in Macao, aims to encourage student writers to envision a more sustainable future in 2030 by exploring the 17 Sustainable Development Goals established by the United Nations.

Lost and Found — WeChat mini-program wins Special Prize 2024-04-16

From April 13 to 14, the final round of the 2nd WeChat Innovative Laboratory Mini-Program Global Coding Innovation Challenge was held in Shenzhen. Over 500 outstanding mini-programs were contributed by 128 schools from five major competition regions worldwide. 45 entries made their way into the final round. The finalists were required to optimize their entries within two days and engage in a defense of their programs.

 

5 teams consisting of 15 students from our school successfully entered the second round of the final competition. The entry titled 'AI Platform for Lost Items’ created by Cheong Sio Fong, Chong Tin Kin, and Lei In Iat won the Special Prize in the Flying Dragon Category, making their entry the No. 1-ranking mini-program in the world. Their instructor was Ms. Lam Sao Lan. Other award winners are as follows:

After the awards ceremony, a roundtable discussion was held on "Digitally-guided basic education”. Our school's Information Technology teachers, Ms. Lam Sao Lan and Mr. Wong Chan Lam were invited to share their educational experience with mini-programs, and Mr. Wong Chan Lam was awarded the title "Innovative Pathfinder".
