Students excel in Macao Student Drawing and Calligraphy Competition2020-10-18

The “Let’s Fight the Pandemic Together” Macao Student Drawing and Calligraphy Competition was held by the Macao Chinese Culture Art Association. The theme this year was “Big Love in the Fight Against the Pandemic”. It is hoped that through creating works of art and calligraphy, contestants can extend their salute to frontline healthcare workers and spread positive energy in society. Their works are on display till October 24th and open for view to the public from 10am to 6pm.

The awards ceremony for the 4th Macao Chinese Dream Drawing Competition for Primary School Students was held today. The theme this year was “The Great Bay Area in children’s dreams: The future in my mind”. Students portray their Chinese dream with their colored pencils. Award winners are as follows:
First Prize: Chan Sin Wa (Junior 1), Ao Kam Leong (Primary 5), Tam Kei Chon (Primary 4), Chan Lin Ieong (Primary 4), Chong Pui U (Primary 4)
Second Prize: Pui Kai Cheng (Primary 6), Mok Chon Him (Primary 4)
Third Prize: Leong Kam Ian (Primary 6), Chao Hou In (Primary 5), Ao Chin Ioi (Primary 4), Lei Sam U (Primary 4)

Ms. Wong Wai I, Ms. Wong Wai Cheong, and Ms. Wong Kuai Fan respectively won the Silver Award for instructors.
Student wins championship in International Youth Letter Writing Competition2020-10-09

The Macao Postal and Telecommunications Services Bureau held the 49th International Youth Letter Writing Competition. The theme this year is “A letter to an adult about our world”. Among our award-winning students, Chan Kuan Wai won the championship in Group 2 of the Chinese Category. Judges commented that his work permeated with his love for this era and was a delight to read. Other award-winners, including Wong Sai Nok, Fong Ka Seong, Cheong Ieok Si, and Kong Hei Un, respectively won the Merit Award in Group 2 of the Chinese Category.
Student wins first prize in 21st Century VIPKID Cup Primary Student English Speech Contest2020-10-05

Pui Ching Primary 4D student Si U Hin won the championship last year in the Lower Primary Category of the Macao Student English Speech Contest. He represented Macao yesterday in the finals of the 18th China Daily “21st Century VIPKID Cup” Primary Student English Speech Contest and won the national first prize! His instructor was Ms. Cheng Ka Lai. Congratulations to both student and teacher!
Pui Ching students clinch championship in Golden Spring Award Short Film Competition2020-10-03

The Academy of Film of the Macao University of Science and Technology held the 2019 Golden Spring Award Short Film Competition, which aims at fostering talents in film and television production and encouraging the production of films and videos through new media. The competition requires contestants to produce videos that portray the unique culture and beauty of Macao and comes in two categories: drama and documentaries. The awards ceremony this year took place online due to the pandemic. Six of our students (Ao Lok Hei, Leong Hei Man, Lao Wa Ioi, Lei Ka In, Lam Hio Chon, Tang Keng Hang) clinched the championship in the Student Documentary Category. Their instructor was Mr. Ng Ka Meng. Their documentary was also selected for the Present Future Film Festival: Macao x Taiwan x Japan, which is sponsored by the Macao Foundation and aims at promoting local short films and providing a platform for local talents to showcase their productions. Five of our students (Wong Tan I, Leong Sin Ian, Ngan Chon Wai, Chan U Hin, Chan Si U) came in as the second runners-up in the Student Drama Category in the Short Film Competition.
