Pui Ching students win championship, third place in VIQC Division of VEX Macau Regional Competition; contestants in VRC Middle School Division advance to World Championship2024-01-12

Our school's VEX Robotics Team won the championship and the third place in the VIQC Division of the 8th Macau Robotics Engineering Challenge. In addition, our contestants in the VRC Middle School Division secured a spot in the World Championship. Congratulations to our award winners!

Pui Ching students receive First Prize in Future City National Exposition2023-12-24

From December 22nd to 24th, two teams consisting of 16 junior high school students from our school participated in the 2023-2024 Future City National Exposition under the guidance of their teachers Mr. Lei Chan Pong and Ms. Cheng Weng Cheng. A total of 120 secondary and primary school teams from 29 cities across the country attended the event. Our “Life on Land” Team successfully advanced to the finals and ultimately won the First Prize in the national competition as well as the Special Award for Best On-Site Presentation. Our second team received the Third Prize in the national competition, the "Powering the Future" Special Award, as well as the Best Peer Evaluation Award.
The theme of the Future City National Exposition this year was "Affordable and Clean Energy," one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals proposed by the United Nations. The students were tasked with designing an "Electrified City" 100 years from now which will completely rely on clean energy for power generation, mitigating the greenhouse effect caused by carbon emissions. The competition required students to design city models according to the theme, write essays and project plans, and finally present and defend their models on stage.

Students clinch championship, second place and 8 gold awards in WER World Championship2023-12-20

Pui Ching students excelled in the WER World Championship held in Shanghai by the World Educational Robotics Society on December 17th, securing the championship and the second place in the Primary School Category while achieving fourth place in the Secondary School Category. In addition, they brought home a total of 8 gold awards, bearing testimony to their talent and hard work in the field of robotics. The award winners are as follows.

Pui Ching students clinch championship in "Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities” Debate Competition2023-12-16

Our school debate team participated in the "Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities” Debate Competition and won the championship after the semifinals and finals!
Topic for Semifinals: Individuals with disabilities should pursue higher education or engage in continuing education after graduating from non-higher education institutions.
Topic for Finals: Independent living in public housing for persons with disabilities can facilitate their integration into the community.
Pui Ching achieved a 7:0 victory in both matches. Our student Leong Cheng Lok from Junior 3 was awarded Best Debater in the semifinals, and Lam Chi U from Junior 3 was awarded Best Debater in the finals.
U.K. Mathematics Challenge: 12 Gold, 4 Silver, 2 Bronze Medals; Some Students Advance to British Mathematical Olympiad2023-12-06

In October, 18 high school students from our school participated in the UKMT Mathematics Challenge (Advanced Level) and achieved excellent results, including 12 gold, 4 silver, and 2 bronze medals. Among the award winners, Senior 2A students Leung Ka Ho and Yip Ho Cheung both received perfect scores. Some of our gold medal winners have also had the opportunity to participate in the British Mathematical Olympiad (BMO) in November, and we look forward to their continued success.
