Pui Ching students attended the 2018 Kam Chun Award Short Film Competition held by the Macao Film Art Research Institute of the Macao University of Science and Technology. The competition aims to give youths a stage to showcase their talents in new media productions.  The theme this year is “Beautiful Macao“ and participating works can be either a story or documentary.  Pui Ching students won many awards, including the First, Second and Third Place in the competition.

In the Interschool Volleyball Finals, the Pui Ching Women’s Volleyball Team A outplayed C.S.K. Perpetual Help College by 3:1 and won the championship for the 11^th year.  The Pui Ching Men’s Volleyball Team A outplayed Instituto Salesian by 3:0 and clinched the championship.  Pui Ching received a total of 5 Golds and 1 Silver this academic year.

Pui Ching students attended the 2018 Guangdong—Hong Kong—Macao cum Overseas Chinese Youth Innovation Carnival.  The event was held from December 22^nd to 23^rd in Taishan.  Fourteen students from Lower Primary to Senior High of Pui Ching Middle School entered for the competition.  Among them, the Lower Primary team was the youngest inventors in the event and received much acclaim from the judges.  Pui Ching Middle School was also the school with the greatest number of awards among all schools from Hong Kong and Macao.  Its awards included the Promotion of Culture of Innovation Award, 3 Gold Awards, 4 Silver Awards, and 7 Bronze Awards.

Pui Ching students entered for the Give Them a Reason to Quit Gambling Video Creation Competition.  Senior 1 students Ms. Kuan Ka Kei, Ms. Loi Weng Ian, and Mr. Choi Tin Chi came in as the champion and first runner-up respectively with their videos “Reflection of the gambler” and “Backwash”.  Senior 3 student Mr. Lei Hon Ian and Senior 2 student Ms. U Weng Lam won the Merit Award with their “Incalculable”.  Pui Ching teacher Mr. Ng Ka Meng won the Excellent Instructor’s Award.
