Students win Best Engineers Award in FRC Robotics Shenzhen Regional Competition2018-03-10
The Pui Ching FRC Robotics Team attended the FRC Robotics Shenzhen Regional Competition held in the Shenzhen University City. Held by FIRST Robotics of the United States, The FRC Robotics Competition is a top competition with 29 years of history. Almost 10,000 teams have participated in the competition, including the Pui Ching Robotics Team, which has taken part in contests in Las Vegas as well as Hawaii. The FRC Robotics Competition had two competition venues established in Shanghai and Shenzhen of China. The Shenzhen Regional Competition this year saw contestants from Poland, Turkey, the U.K., China, etc. The Pui Ching Robotics Team entered the finals as the fourth seed and the captain of the united league and won the Best Engineers Award from 35 contestant teams.
Student athletes clinch championship in Inter-School Women’s Basketball Tournament2018-03-04
Pui Ching student athletes won the championship from the Workers’ Children’s School by a margin of 31 to 25 in Category A of the Inter-School Women’s Basketball Tournament. Director Lou Pak Sang of the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau presented the trophy to the young athletes.
Students excel in Post Office Competition2018-03-02
The awards ceremony for the 2018 Electronic Apparatus Competition and the 22nd Letter to Santa Claus Writing Competition was held by the Post Office in commemoration of the 134th anniversary of the founding of the Office and the 12th anniversary of the founding of the Communications Museum. Pui Ching students Mr. Wong Lei Kang, Mr. Pun Cheok In, and Ms. Fung Weng were conferred the Judge’s Choice Award for their excellent performance in the Electronic Apparatus Competition. Mr. Tsui Lok Ka won the first place in Category 1 in the Writing Competition. Mr. Tsui was invited to do a reading of his work at the awards ceremony.
Students clinch two Golds, 3 Silvers, 17 Bronzes at International Biomedical Quiz2018-02-14
22 students entered for the 2018 International Biomedical Quiz in Singapore and won a total of two Golds, 3 Silvers and 17 Bronzes in the Senior and Junior Category. Ms. Chan Si Hang and Mr. Chan Kun Wang won the Gold Award; and Ms. Ieong Sin U, Ms. Koc I Fai, and Mr. Sun Cheng Hin won the Silver Award. The theme this year was Geriatric Medicine. The instructors of the award-winning students were Ms. Io Hio Fai, Ms. Leong Ieng Ieng, and Mr. U Kin Pong.
Student emerges as champion in Police-Citizen Cooperation Writing Competition2018-02-07
The Chinese Writing Competition on “Public Security and Police-Citizen Cooperation” was held by the Macao Security Forces Higher School. Various Pui Ching students were awarded for their excellent performance, including Ms. Tam Hei Ioi who received the championship in the Senior Category, Mr. Ho Kit San, Ms. Lei I Ching, Ms. Ho Si Wan, Mr. Pun Pak Sam and Mr. Ip Long Teng who received the Merit Award, and Mr. Sin Fai Hou, Mr. Chan Ka Ut, Ms. Wong Sam U, Mr. Koo Pak Lam, Ms. Zhang Zhi Xuan and Ms. Hao Chi Lam who all entered the finals.
