Student athletes break five records in 135th Anniversary School Sports Meet2024-10-18

The 135th anniversary celebration of Pui Ching Middle School and the 54th Athletic Sports Meet were held from October 16 to 18 at the Macao Stadium.

Vice Principal Dr. Ieong Pui Ian delivered a speech highlighting this year’s event as the sports meet with the highest participation rate, with 49 classes and over 1,900 students involved.  On the occasion of the 75th National Day, the 25th anniversary of Macao’s handover to mainland China, and the 135th anniversary of Pui Ching Middle School, students and teachers are encouraged to look forward to the upcoming series of events celebrating the school's 135th anniversary.

This year's sports meet saw five records broken by five individuals / teams.  Guests of honor presented medals, trophies, and banners to the winning athletes. 

Record-breakers included Chan Sam I, Chan Chi Hei, Pan Cheok Him, and Ng Tang Hei.  The awards for the best overall performance in each category went to Kuong Chi Hin (Men’s Category A), Chan Chi Hei (Men’s Category B), Hoi Ka U (Men’s Category C), Lam Seng Chi (Men’s Category D), Fong Chi Weng (Women’s Category A), Ip Si Kei (Women’s Category B), Ho Cheng Lam (Women’s Category C), and Lei Hoi Cheng (Women’s Category D).  The inter-class championship was clinched by Junior 3D, the second place was awarded to Senior 1F, and the third place to Primary 6C.  The awards for individual best overall performance went to Pang Cheok Him and Ng Tang Hei.  The grand championship was awarded to Primary 6.  Congratulations to our young athletes!

 

 

135th anniversary celebration and 54th Athletic Meet of Macao Pui Ching Middle School commence2024-10-16

The 135th anniversary celebration and the 54th Athletic Meet of Macao Pui Ching Middle School will be held at the Macau Stadium for three consecutive days starting today.

To prepare for this year's athletic meet, our school invited Physical Education teacher Mr. Sio Pui Keong to deliver a speech titled "Finding direction in adversity, living a fulfilling life with passion". Mr. Sio encouraged the students to manage their time well and to learn to persevere in the face of challenges.

The opening ceremony of the athletic meet took place this afternoon, featuring the school’s flag-raising team and color guard. After the flag-raising ceremony, the president of the Student Council announced the official commencement of the athletic meet.

 

 

Gratitude 135 Art Exhibition opens, showcasing over 100 artworks2024-10-04

The Gratitude 135 Art Exhibition, organized by Macao Pui Ching Middle School and sponsored by the Education and Youth Development Bureau, opened on the evening of October 3 at the Bureau's Zizhan Gallery. The exhibition features nearly 150 items, including paintings, ceramics, prints, mixed media, and digital art, showcasing students' creations using diverse materials and techniques. The exhibition will run until the 26th of this month.  It is open from 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM from Monday to Friday, and from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 5:40 PM on Saturday. Everyone is welcome.

Water Sports Competition held in celebration of 135th anniversary of Pui Ching Middle School2024-09-22

Hosted by Macao Pui Ching Middle School and organized by the Macao Swimming Association, the Pui Ching Water Sports Competition was held in celebration of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the 25th anniversary of the handover of Macao to mainland China, and the 135th anniversary of Pui Ching Middle School.  The competition will take place on September 22 at 2:15 PM at the Olympic Sports Center in Taipa.

Guangzhou Pui Ching Middle School, Hong Kong Pui Ching Middle School, and Hong Kong Pui Ching Primary School have been invited to compete.  The competition involved a total of 120 participants. The competition was held in seven categories, including the alumni category and men’s and women’s categories for primary school, junior high school, and senior high school. The events included 50m and 100m freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, 50m butterfly, 4x50m freestyle relay, 200m individual medley, and 4x50m mixed relay. Hong Kong Pui Ching won the team championships for both the secondary school and primary school categories while Macao Pui Ching won the alumni relay race.

The 36th International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI 2024) was held from September 1 to September 8 in Alexandria, Egypt. Senior 2 students, Ng Hang Chi, Wong Chi In, and Lam Pak Hong, participated in the Macao Olympiad in Informatics (MOI 2024) earlier this year, where they achieved the top three scores and became representatives of Macao for the 2024 International Olympiad in Informatics.  They visited Egypt with their instructor from the Macao Computer Society and our teachers, Ms. Lam Sao Lan and Mr. Lam Kin Un.  Our students excelled in the competition, receiving one Bronze Medal and one Honorable Mention.  Congratulations to our award winners!
