20 Pui Ching students qualify for National Training Camp for China’s Top Dancers Mentorship Program2023-05-18

The 1st China’s Top Dancers Mentorship Program was launched in 2021.  Under the guidance of dance masters, talented young dancers will receive systematic training in the program to become top dancers in the country.

 

After the audition, members of the Pui Ching Secondary School Dance Team came through with flying colors.  Twelve members successfully entered the program in the 13 to 15 age category, and eight members entered the program in the 16 to 18 age category.  The students will be flying to Chongqing in late May to join the national training camp and the selection for the top 100 dancers in the country.  Congratulations to our young dancers!

 

Students excel in 19th “FLTRP Cup” National English Competition for Schools2023-05-17

The “FLTRP Cup” National English Competition for Schools is hosted by the Beijing Foreign Studies University and co-organized by the Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press.  It is the most influential and authoritative English competition for secondary school students in the country. Every year, the competition attracts student contestants from all over the country. 

 

After rounds of competition, including the regional preliminary competition, regional semi-finals, regional finals, and the national finals, our school’s three contestants all won the first prize in the national finals.  The award winners are as follows:

Pui Ching Middle School Nominated for National Teaching Achievement Award for Basic Education2023-05-16

Pui Ching Middle School has been nominated for the second prize in the 2022 National Teaching Achievement Award Competition for Basic Education. The award is highly prestigious.  Pui Ching's entry was "The Application of AI Curricula in Macau Schools: Implementing National Policies in Support of the Development of the Greater Bay Area".

The Chinese Ministry of Education announced the nominees for the esteemed award, and Pui Ching Middle School has been the only institution in the Macau Special Administrative Region to receive the award since the competition was opened to contestants in Hong Kong and Macau in 2018. During the award ceremony, President Xi Jinping commended Macau’s education industry on its outstanding achievements. 

Pui Ching Middle School is dedicated to excellence and innovation in research and teaching. The Teaching Achievement Award Competition offered a platform for Pui Ching to share its experience in AI curriculum development and the cultivation of talents.  It is hoped that through innovation in education, we would provide our students with a broader platform on which to develop their strengths and contribute to society.

 

Pui Ching students win highest award in Asian Regional Botball Tournament2023-05-14

The Global Conference on Educational Robotics hosted the Asian Regional Botball Tournament in Hangzhou on May 13. 

 

66 primary school students from Pui Ching Middle School joined the competition in 33 teams.  Student contestants were required to write codes, build robots, and complete four sets of tasks within a set time.  15 of our students won the Gold Award in the Intermediate Division and qualify for the International Botball Tournament that will be held in July in Florida.  51 students won the Gold Award in the Novice Division.  The Gold Award is the highest award in the competition.  Congratulations to our many award winners! 

 

Team PCMS wins championship in Junior RoboMed division of Robofest World Championship2023-05-14

The 2023 Robofest World Championship was held in Michigan at the Lawrence Technological University on May 13. 

 

Primary 6 students Che Wan Cheng, Lei Cheok Kio, and Mok Chon Him participated in the competition and won the championship with their “Raspberry Pi-based Fitness Testing Device” in the Junior RoboMed division.  Their instructor was Mr. Un Kuok Chin.  Mr. Un also won the Outstanding Instructor Award.  Congratulations to our award winners!
