The 48th Pui Ching Track and Field Sports Meet lasted for three days and concluded today. In the closing ceremony, the guests presented medals, trophies and flags to the athletes.
In this track and field sports meet, teachers and students showed their Pui Ching spirit as usual. Although the weather was not as expected and some of the sports events had to be postponed, it did not subtract from the high spirit of the students. The planning made by the sports committee and the cooperation of the staff members were both crucial to the success of the sports meet. Athletes showcased their athletic talent on the sports field and carried forward the olympic spirits of “higher, faster and stronger”. The sports events were broadcast on the school digital platform Pui Ching Engergy and Voice. Reportors for the Sports Meet were divided into different teams and closely followed the news on the student athletes, the dedication of the staff members, and sports trivia. Their professional reports received acclaim from teachers and students alike. Students had the opportunity to exercise both their bodies and potentials on the sports field.
Following the tradition of the sports meet, teachers engaged in the Teacher’s 800 Meter Happy Run on Day 2 of the sports meet. The Teacher-Student Relay Competition was held on Day 3 and was one of the highlights of the sports meet.
Although the sports meet lasted for only three days and the weather was unpredictable, student athletes performed outstandingly on the field. Five records were broken in the sports meet this year. The school is thankful to all teachers, students and staff members for their hard work and is grateful to the guests, parents and alumni for their support.
Guests of honor presented the student athletes with various medals, trophies and flags in the closing ceremony.
