Scholars from the Bejing Bay Area and Pui Ching representatives including vice-principal Mr. Kuok Keng Man discussed the issues at the National Artificial Intelligence Promotion Seminar held in Shenzhen this morning.

Experts in the field who attended the seminar included chairman of Asia AI Alliance Dr. Kam Wai Tak, marketing director of Beijing Face++ Technology Co., Ltd. Mr. Zhang Xin, academic committee member of the International Mathematical Modeling Challenge Professor Liu Yan, NeoUnion Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization CEO Mr. Zhang Yan Feng, Beijing 11^th Middle School teacher Mr. Zhu Hao Nan, etc.

Other members of Pui Ching invited to the event were alumni Ms. Fung Iok Wing and Mr. Kam Wai Tak, Guangzhou Pui Ching Middle School vice-principal Mr. Wu Zhao Dong, and Hong Kong Pui Ching Middle School director Mr. Ma Hoi Hong.

During the two-day trip, participating members also had the opportunity to visit various technology companies in the PRC.　The trip not only was a step forward in the promotion of AI education, but also laid the foundation for Macao’s development as a smart city.

Pui Ching students excelled in the 16^th Macao-wide English Speech Contest cum 23^rd “21^st Century Cup” National English Speaking Competition Macao Regional Contest.  Ms. Lam Cheng Hei came in as the champion in the Upper Primary Category and won the Best Speech Among Chinese-medium School Contestants Award.  Ms. Natalia Lo won the Merit Award in the Upper Primary Category.  Ms. Wong Hoi Ian and Ms. Wong Hoi Ieng received the Merit Award in the Junior Secondary and Senior Secondary Category respectively.

The 16^th Macao-wide English Speech Contest & 23^rd “21^st Century Cup” National English Speaking Competition Macao Regional Contest was held by the Macao Polytechnic Institute. Both the contest and the awards ceremony took place today at the institute.  Various contestants from Pui Ching came through with flying colors.  Ms. Lam Ching Hei won the championship and the Best Speech Among Chinese-Medium Schools Award in the Upper Primary Category.  Ms. Lo Kai I won the Merit Award in the Upper Primary Category.  Ms. Wong Hoi Yan and Ms. Wong Hoi Ying respectively won the Merit Award in the Junior Secondary Category and the Senior Secondary Category.

The 69^th iENA Inventors’ Trade Fair was held from November 2^nd to 5^th in Nuremberg, Germany.  As in the past two years, Pui Ching students again won various awards.

Primary 6 student Ms. Sou Ho U designed the Smart Fish Tank under the guidance of her teacher Mr. Un Kuok Chin and won the Gold Award.  Junior 1 student Mr. Wong Tin Iao worked on the mobile phone app Hope For The Fluffy under the guidance of his teacher Mr. Sou Lok Tin and won the Silver Award.  Primary 6 student Ms. Ieong Cheok Ing invented the Photosensitive Bookmark under the instruction of her teacher Mr. Kuok Chan Ip, winning the Bronze Award.
