Professor Xiao Hua Jiang from the Chinese University of Hong Kong gave a talk today to Senior 1 and 2 science students on the topic of “Stem cell and innovative medicine”.  The talk piqued the interest of the students.  Prof. Jiang also conducted a seminar with over 20 students after the talk.  Participants benefited much from the in-depth discussion.

Under the instruction of their teacher Mr. Kun Wa Lao, Pui Ching students Mr. Chon Hin Ho, Mr. Chon Hou Leong and Mr. Man Chon Ho from the Pui Ching Underwater Robotics Team won the Third Prize in the Environmental Engineering Category at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair 2017. The team made its triumphant return from the United States this morning and was greeted by Director of the Macao Education and Youth Affairs Bureau Mr. Man Fai Cheong, Pui Ching Middle School Principal and Vice-Principal Dr. Kam Fai Kou and Dr. Keng Lim Chan.

To improve education and promote academic exchange, Pui Ching Middle School and Yin Hai Educational Corporation of Qing Hai are to become sister schools starting from 2017. The contract-signing ceremony was held yesterday morning in Qing Dao at the initiation ceremony for the 2^nd National Youth Hydrographic Surveying and Charting Week. The contract was signed by Mr. Hua Long Xin, Chairman of the board of directors of Yin Hai Educational Corporation, and Mr. Keng Man Kuok, Vice-Principal of Pui Ching Middle School.

The initiation ceremony for the National Youth Hydrographic Surveying and Charting Week was held yesterday morning at 9:30 in Qing Dao. Pui Ching principal Mr. Keng Man Kuok and teacher Mr. Hao Nian Min attended the ceremony upon invitation. Mr. Min shared Pui Ching’s pedagogical experience in underwater robotics and the development of unmanned surface vessels at the Special Topics Conference on Geographic Information and Culture during the National Youth Hydrographic Surveying and Charting Week.

Under the instruction of their teacher Mr. Kun Wa Lao, Pui Ching students Mr. Chon Hin Ho, Mr. Chon Hou Leong and Mr. Man Chon Ho from the Pui Ching Underwater Robotics Team won the Third Prize in the Environmental Engineering Category at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair 2017. The team’s accomplishment has been the highest honor received by contestants from Macao. The students also received the President’s Award from the China Association of Science and Technology, a special award at the Science and Engineering Fair.
