Macao Pui Ching Middle School has been designated as the 101^st Featured School for Aerospace Education in the country by the Chinese Society of Astronautics.

The designation ceremony was held at 9:00am this morning in the school auditorium.  Director Yu Miao of the International Cooperation Center of China Aerospace and Deputy Director Wang Yiran of the Chinese Society of Astronautics presented the plaque of “Featured School for Aerospace Education” to Macao Pui Ching Middle School.  Principal Kou Kam Fai accepted the plaque and expressed his gratitude for the honor on behalf of the school.

The Chinese Society of Astronautics will be providing training for the science and technology teachers at the school.  It will also be arranging for aerospace experts to give various lectures to promote student interest in science as well as creating opportunities for student participation in aerospace science competitions, research activities, and summer camps.  In addition, the Society will be providing assistance with the organization of aerospace science and technology festivals, the construction of an aerospace maker lab, and the development of aerospace STEM courses.  The initiative is expected to promote aerospace science education and contribute to the cultivation of talents for the future development of China’s aerospace industry.
