Macau Pui Ching Middle School’s Senior High School Graduation Ceremony for the 2025/2026 academic year was grandly held this morning at 9:30 AM in the school assembly hall. A total of 231 Form 6 students from the "Chio"(超) class graduated, and the ceremony was filled with a solemn yet warm atmosphere.

In his opening address, School Supervisor Dr. Law Wing Cheung extended a warm welcome and heartfelt gratitude to the attending guests and parents and congratulated the graduating class. In this academic year, 92 graduates were admitted to 44 higher education institutions in Mainland China through the recommended admission scheme; another 80 students were admitted as recommended students to various institutions in Macao, with 58 of them enrolling at the University of Macau. Regarding overseas studies, the school has so far received over 134 admission offers (firm or conditional) from top 50 universities worldwide according to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, including Cambridge, Oxford, and Stanford, with this number expected to rise. Dr. Law also highlighted that, under the leadership of the DSEDJ, students traveled to the United States to participate in the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (Regeneron ISEF 2026), achieving Macao's best historical results by winning two Second Awards. Furthermore, the Coloane campus will expand its coverage from Kindergarten (K1) to Junior 3 starting this September, establishing a seamless curriculum transition. Finally, he encouraged the students to become "extraordinary individuals" who do not blindly follow the crowd. He explained that the Chinese character for their class name, "Chio" (超 - meaning extraordinary), can be split into "walk" (走) and "call" (召), symbolizing moving forward in response to a calling, specifically following and responding to the call of Jesus.

Mr. Teng Sio Hong, Deputy Director of the Education and Youth Development Bureau (DSEDJ), delivered an encouraging speech. He first thanked the school's sponsoring body, the Board of Directors, and all staff for their dedicated efforts, while also expressing gratitude to the parents for being the strongest supporters of their children. He stated that as the nation enters a new stage of high-quality development, Macao is also actively promoting the integrated development of education, technology, and talent. Pui Ching Middle School has kept pace with modern educational developments, with its students repeatedly achieving outstanding results in science and technology, arts, and sports competitions, demonstrating an excellent academic ethos and the "Red and Blue" spirit. He expressed high expectations for all graduates, encouraging them to seize the opportunities of the times, embrace a deep love for their country and home, actively integrate into the overall development of the nation and Macao, tell the stories of China and Macao well, and become outstanding young talents with a strong sense of responsibility and capability.

Subsequently, Deputy Director Teng Sio Hong, accompanied by Principal Kou Kam Fai, presented the graduation certificates. The officiating guests then awarded various prizes and scholarships to outstanding graduates and students who demonstrated exceptional performance in national or international competitions. In addition, the ceremony presented commemorative plaques to teachers who have served the school for 10 years and every subsequent 5 years, as well as to retiring teachers.

Graduating class representative Ana Guo delivered a deeply touching speech on behalf of all "Chio"(超) class graduates, expressing sincere gratitude for the teachers' careful guidance, the parents' silent nurturing, and the mutual support among classmates.

Delivering the vote of thanks, Principal Kou Kam Fai thanked the parents for their trust in the school and the teachers for their hard work. He noted that Pui Ching's positive development and fruitful achievements rely heavily on the support of the SAR Government and the sponsoring body. He encouraged the graduates to forge their own paths as they embark on a new journey in life. The ceremony concluded successfully amidst the singing of the school song and heartfelt blessings.
