(Macau Daily News) This year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Brazil. Upon invitation by the Chinese Embassy in Brazil, the Pui Ching Dance Group departed for Brazil on February 6th to participate in the “2024 'Happy Spring Festival' Celebration in Brazil: Foz do Iguaçu joyfully welcomes the Chinese Year of the Dragon".  The event was organized by the Chinese Embassy in Brazil, the Chinese Consulate-General in São Paulo, and the municipal government of Foz do Iguaçu. Our student dancers will be dancing, singing, giving traditional Chinese musical performances, and collaborating with local groups to promote traditional Chinese culture.

Vice-Principal Kwok Keng Man expressed that the Pui Ching Dance Group was honored to be invited to participate in the spring festival celebration at the 50th anniversary of the establishment of China-Brazil diplomatic relations. This year also marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the 25th anniversary of the handover of Macao to China, making the event all the more memorable. The Pui Ching Dance Group has also been invited to Portugal three times in the past to perform in the local “Happy Spring Festival” celebrations.

The Inter-School Women’s Group A Volleyball Championship Match was held tonight. Pui Ching defeated Santa Rosa De Lima English Secondary School, securing its 16th consecutive championship.

In summary, Pui Ching won the championship and the third place in the Women's Group A volleyball tournaments as well as the championship in Women's Group B and Women's Group C tournaments.

The Men's Group A championship match will take place tomorrow evening (February 6th) at 7:00 PM. Pui Ching will be striving to defend its title.  Please come and support our team at the University of Macau Sports Complex or watch the live broadcast on Macau Sports Channel.

The 47th Inter-School Swimming Competition was held on January 20th and 27th. This year's competition attracted 593 participants from 43 schools.  74 student athletes from our school competed in the event and won a total of 46 medals, including 24 golds, 14 silvers, and 8 bronzes.  Our athletes also broke a total of 6 records during the competition.

On the second day of the competition, our students continued to excel and broke 3 more records, in the Men’s Group E 50m Breaststroke, Women’s Group A 100m Butterfly, and the Women’s Group A 4x50m Medley Relay Race.

The 2023-2024 Pui Ching Cup Greater Bay Area Fencing Competition was held from January 20th to 21st at Macao Pui Ching Middle School. The event was organized by Macao Pui Ching Middle School, with the support of the Macao Heroes Fencing Club, the Greater Bay Area Culture and Sports Association, and the Pui Ching Volunteer Association. The competition brought together more than 600 participants from over 50 schools in the Greater Bay Area, competing in individual and team events for both men and women. The competition featured 36 divisions and such age groups as U8, U10, U12, U14, U16, and 17+. Our student athletes came through with flying colors in the competition.
