Pui Ching becomes sister schools with Experimental School 2018-05-24

Pui Ching Middle School became sister schools with the Experimental School of the National Academy of Education Administration on May 19th.  It is hoped that the tie would strengthen cooperation between Macao and the Mainland and promote the development of education.

 

The contract signing ceremony was held at the Experimental School of the National Academy of Education Administration.  Pui Ching Principal Kou Kam Fai addressed the audience at the ceremony and introduced the school’s history and academic achievements, including the students’ outstanding performance in English, the STEM curriculum, and PISA.  Principal Kou expressed hope that the two schools engage in academic exchange through mutual visits.

 

Principal of the Experimental School Ms. Li Shu Xin introduced the achievements of the school in the past three years.  She looked forward to forging ties with Pui Ching in such areas as Information Technology and Education Research. 

 

After the ceremony, Deputy Director of the Education Commission of the Daxing District Ms. Zhou Aibin and Associate Dean of the National Academy of Education Administration Dr. Yu Jingtan addressed the audience and expressed hope that Macao Pui Ching Middle School and the Experimental School of the National Academy of Education Administration share quality education resources and make progress in education through improved cooperation.  Ms. Zhou and Dr. Yu also extended gratitude to the Experimental School for bringing Pui Ching’s quality resources to the school. 

Students excel in Intel International Science and Engineering Fair 2018-05-20

Pui Ching students excelled in the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair.  Pui Ching’s Ocean Environment Conservation Research Team and Biology Research Team participated in the Intel ISEF.  In particular, King Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia awarded the Ocean Environment Conservation Research Team the Aqua Technology Special Award established by the Genius and Innovation Foundation.  The team also won the Third Prize at the fair. 

 

The success of the students are inseparable from the help of teachers and parents, the attention that the Macao government pays to education, the organization of the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau, the support of the Science and Technology Development Foundation, and the professional guidance provided by the University of Macao.  Many thanks to all parties that contributed to the success of our award winners!

Students come in as first runners-up in Robofest World Championship2018-05-20

The Robofest World Championship was held in Detroit at the Lawrence Technological University from May 17th to 19th.  Primary 6 students Mr. Qi Chan On, Mr. Wong Yin Long, and Mr. Lau Meng Hei stood out from the crowd in their problem analysis, robot construction and programming and came in as the first runners-up in the Unknown Mission Challenge.  

Pui Ching students excel in Intel International Science and Engineering Fair2018-05-18

The Intel ISEF was held in Pittsburgh and three representing teams from Macao, two of which consisted of Pui Ching students, attended the fair. The Ocean Environment Conservation Research Team worked under Innovation and Technology Director Mr. Lao Kun Wa and consisted of student members Mr. Ho Man Chon, Mr. Lao Seong Hok, and Mr. Leong Man Hei.  The Biology Research Team worked under instructors Ms. Io Hio Fai and Ms. Leong Ieng Ieng and consisted of student members Mr. Chan Chi Kio, Mr. Fong Chun Hei, Ms. Ieong Sin U, and Ms. Hui Hoi Ian. 

 

In particular, the Ocean Environment Conservation Research Team received the Third Prize and the Aqua Technology Special Award funded by King Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia and the Genius and Innovation Foundation. This is the second time Pui Ching students won an award for Macao in the international arena.  Congratulations to our students!
