Pui Ching students excel in 2025 Youth Language Arts and Culture Festival 2025-08-04

With the support of the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao S.A.R. Government, the Macao Regional Finals of the 2025 Youth Language Arts and Culture Festival were hosted by the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Art Exchange Association, the International Association of Music Educators, and the China-Macao Federation of Youth Culture. The event was held on August 3 at Galaxy Macao and brought together primary and secondary school students from Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao.  Participants competed in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English, promoting cross-regional cultural exchange and showcasing the beauty of language arts.

 

Pui Ching students excelled in the event. Grade 7 student Chao Mut Ham won the Special Award for the best presentation in Category A (Mandarin) for junior high school students. Her instructor was Ms. Ip Weng Teng.

 

Our student contestants also received two gold awards in Children’s Category A (English), one gold award and one silver award in Children’s Category B (English), one silver award in Children’s Category B (Mandarin), two gold awards and three silver awards in Children’s Category C (English), and one silver award in Children’s Category C (Mandarin).

Pui Ching student wins first place in Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship for Excel2025-08-01

Pui Ching student Lei In Iat represented Macao in the Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship held from July 27 to 30 in Orlando, Florida. He stood out in the Microsoft Excel (Microsoft 365 Apps) category, winning the global championship among over 750,000 participants from around the world.

 

Also attending this international event was Pui Ching student Kuok Chi Ioi. Both students excelled in the Macao regional competition held in March, winning the championships in Excel (Microsoft 365 Apps) and Word (Office 2019) respectively. Their instructor was Ms. Lam Sao Lan.

Pui Ching students win third place in RoboCup@Home2025-07-23

The Pui Ching Service Robot Team, FAMBOT, won the third place in the open category of “RoboCup@Home 2025” held in Salvador, Brazil this year. FAMBOT is the first high school team to receive an award in RoboCup@Home since the establishment of the event. Student contestants on FAMBOT included Wu Iat Long, Ho Pak Ngai, Chan Seong Lai, and Mak Chon Hei. Their instructors were Mr. Lao Kun Wa, Director of Innovative Technology at Pui Ching, and Mr. Lam Kin Un.

 

RoboCup@Home attracts participants including university students, graduate students, doctoral candidates as well as university professors. This year’s participating teams included Tsinghua University, King’s College London, Seoul National University, Pusan National University, the University of Bonn, among other universities from around the world. FAMBOT was the only high school team participating in the competition.

 

Principal Kou Kam Fai expressed that Pui Ching will continue to optimize education in technological innovation. The school aims to inspire students to engage in this exciting field and inject new momentum into Macao's technological industries.

 

Pui Ching Secondary School Choir clinches second place in China Choral Competition2025-07-19

The Pui Ching Secondary School Choir participated in the 2nd China Choral Competition held in Beijing from July 14 to 18. Over 180 choirs from 23 provinces, cities, autonomous regions, and international groups took part in the event, involving nearly 10,000 choral enthusiasts.

 

Our choir received the First-Class Team Award (the highest award) and represented Macao in the finals as one of the top ten choirs.

 

The Pui Ching Secondary School Choir received the second place in the finals of the China Choral Competition.

The Joy of Printmaking – Studying Abroad and Seeing the World 2025-05-24

Hosted by Pui Ching Middle School and sponsored by the Education and Youth Development Bureau, the Pui Ching Middle School Printmaking Exhibition, The Joy of Printmaking – Studying Abroad and Seeing the World, held its opening ceremony on May 21 at the Tap Seac Youth Activity and Exhibition Center.

 

The exhibition showcases the works of students of the Pui Ching Printmaking Club. The artworks are the result of the students’ study tour to Taipei and Tokyo between 2023 and 2024, bearing witness to their endeavors outside the classroom.

 

The exhibition features 35 pieces of artwork created by 28 students, including copperplate and water-based woodblock prints. In addition, ceramic artworks created in Taipei and Tokyo are also on display.

 

The exhibition runs from now to June 1 and is open from 12 PM to 8 PM (closed on Mondays). The venue features presentations on copperplate and woodblock printing, display areas for original prints, and an area for students to exchange ideas on printmaking. Admission is free. Everyone is welcome.
